Old Town San Diego State Historic Park is a six-block park and the site of the first Spanish settlement on America's West Coast. It covers San Diego's Hispanic heritage from 1821 to 1872. See Mexican lore presented in the museums, theatre, shops and restaurants on over 12 acres. There are several restored sand-and-clay and wooden buildings, including a blacksmith shop and San Diego's first newspaper office.
