Nestled on Cape Breton Island between the Gulf of St. Lawrence and the Atlantic Ocean, you'll find this 950 sq. km park. A part of the historic Cabot Trail, Cape Breton Highlands National Park features more than 27 trails to hike and more than six campground areas. The park is also home to wildlife and several communities, including Pleasant Bay and Neil's Harbour. To enter the park, visitors can come by way of Cheticamp or Ingonish. Visitors must purchase permits at the gates to enter.
