Museums & Galleries

Located at the heart of the capital city of Whitehorse, the MacBride Museum of Yukon History presents a comprehensive collection of data, references and artifacts tracing the birth of the Yukon district and various events that have caused it to evolve to its present form. The museum is divided into various sections such as the Wild World Gallery, the Kids Discovery Zone, Sam McGee's Cabin, and others, each of which includes fascinating and interactive displays. You can also learn about the gold rush that occurred here, as well as the locomotive that built the WP & YR railway in the museum courtyard. A guided tour of the museum is the best way to learn about the history of the region.
