Beautiful, friendly staff, and very clean - Not the best food

My husband and I went here to celebrate our anniversary! It was beautiful, very clean, and felt very private! The staff is also SO nice and genuinely friendly. We also got to see baby sea turtles hatch right on our beach - incredible. My only let down with this place was we weren't crazy about the food (and we are pretty big foodies). We were kinda let down over the seafood we tried - Being in the caribbean I really expected to have better/more creative seafood dishes. The steak house has great steak, and "Pega Pega" has some delicious fish tacos! But unfortunately in the 7 days we stayed there we only had a handful of dishes we really liked. But nothing very memorable. Again, we had an amazing stay - I just wouldn't rave about the food.

The honeymoon that we were hoping for

Wedding planning is stressful enough (for the bride), so I was put in charge of planning the honeymoon. After doing countless hours of research on TripAdvisor, Reddit and any other web site Google would lead me to regarding where to stay in Aruba, I found Manchebo Resort. We couldn't have been happier that we chose to stay here with the honeymoon all inclusive package. The resort was perfect from the initial greeting all the way through the checkout. The rooms were cleaned and serviced when needed and they were on the spot when our toilet experienced a small issue. No big problems, just one little one that was fixed within minutes of reporting it. We definitely got our value out of the honeymoon all inclusive, so I recommend this option if you are looking to not worry about where to eat and what to do (and if you drink moderately). The massages were great and we chose the snorkeling option out of the excursions offered which was great as well (novice snorkeling, but still lots of great marine life to observe plus an open bar). FYI - the romantic dinner is fine if the wind isn't too much, but it lasts about 45 minutes longer than it should, so be prepared for a longer dinner. The all inclusive includes 15% gratuity on all checks, but we brought American dollars to tip on top of the service because we knew the dollars would not only come in handy, but the staff deserved every additional dollar. Josel was there every morning to get you a palapa, and there were no worries about getting one at all. If you want one in the front, I'd get down to the beach earlier rather than later, but none of the views were bad. The beach is without question the best beach on the island. During the day, Pega Pega was great beach food. Ignacio, Jean and Greshawn were always there to take care of you and they knew your drink by day 2. You also can't go wrong with any of the food options. We ate at the Chophouse twice and Ike's once (twice if you count the honeymoon romantic dinner) and both of these restaurants are exceptional. I live in Atlanta, Ga with a lot of high end food available, and I would put both of these restaurants up against some of the best food here - especially the seafood. Alex and Vera were our servers and they were great as well. The resort is quieter than others which was great, but we were able to meet other couples and have a little more fun with Caroline at Pega Pega during the evening. Take care of Caroline, shes great! They are able to get most of your favorite football teams on the 3 TVs that they have outside, so don't be worried about missing the game either. There was an issue that required me to call a Dr on the island and it was almost easier than getting a prescription in the States. The Dr charges $35 cash to call in the Rx and the Rx varies (this one was $79). Nothing of an emergency but more of a just in case and it was an easy process that took less than an hour total. All in all, this is an amazing resort worth the price. My wife and I were overly relaxed and satisfied, which made for an amazing honeymoon and vacation. We can't wait to come back again!

    Dream Wedding in Paradise!

I know it sounds cliche, but we really did have a dream beach wedding in Paradise at Manchebo! Of course there were some hiccups and hitches along the way, as to be expected, when so many people are involved; but that is a different story and had nothing to do with this beautiful resort that was our venue! Our wedding was everything, thanks to the wonderful Nyoka Edwards, who was our Wedding/Events Planner at Manchebo. The wedding was beautiful and just as I’ve envisioned it to be! The venue truly exceeded my expectations and really blew me away!! Mind you, we planned everything from afar, based solely on reviews and pictures, without ever having stepped foot on Aruba prior to our wedding! Nyoka was wonderful to work with and we truly appreciate that she went above and beyond to make sure that we’re taken care of, in every way. We were so lucky to have such a sweet and caring person to help us plan for one of the most important days of our lives! Many thanks to Nyoka! <3

Writing this review because I relied on reviews when planing our honeymoon, and I want to highly recommend Manchebo Beach Resort! We honeymooned here a couple of weeks ago, and it could not have been more perfect! The beach in front of the resort is the most beautiful we've ever seen- you can't beat it! The resort is small, so no matter what time of day we went down to the beach, we could always get a palapa. The environment is so relaxing. We didn't end up doing half of the excursions we planned because we wanted to just stay on that beautiful beach! The staff at Manchebo is the best and treats you like family. The grounds are kept beautiful and natural. The restaurants at the resort are awesome, especially Pega Pega! And there are many great restaurants you can easily walk to if you want to venture out some nights. We're glad we stayed in the "low-rise area" because it was quieter (but not too quiet), not crowded at all, and more romantic. We highly recommend Manchebo Beach Resort to anyone looking to honeymoon in Aruba!

Best sushi restaurant on the island. Excellent service and excellent food quality. If you go there ask for Jason as your waiter. Very funny and gave us excellent suggestions. Normally we order the omakase ( chefs recommendation ) but this time we let Jason recommend us and it was excellent.
