Treat with Caution.

Great location very close to beach. Extensive grounds. Corner bedroom very spacious. Food costs ridiculous. 30 mins wait for cake and coffee. Long queue for breakfast. Public areas looking tired. Staff generally friendly. More labelling needed out side lifts to know which floor one is on.
Appalling

On arriving at the Resort, my heart sank. We were booked into this hotel by our travel agent as part of a package at the end of a glorious cruise. The photographs on line looked superb and matched the 4* rating. The reality was far from it. This is not a 4* resort. Old, dated, dirty, basic, and pretty grim. Service in one restaurant was appalling, and food mediocre. Breakfast was a slight improvement, however the floor was filthy, window ledges dirty and paint peeling on the walls. A meal in the Grille, was really nice and service excellent, although very pricy. Some of the staff in the hotel were excellent, however some looked they’d given up on life. [and who could blame them] This hotel does not deserve a 4* rating, at best a 2* (and that’s being generous) The whole place needs a serious make over.
Amazing

We are currently staying at this hotel, on our third day, having read some poor feedback regarding decor, staff and cleanliness, we have found the complete opposite, the staff have been engaging, attentive and super friendly (lovely in fact), from the point of check in, to the restaurant for breakfast and everyone we have come in contact with, our hotel room is very clean and modern with all the amenities we could ask for. Food has been of a high standard, pool area clean and well maintained and absolutely nothing to fault at all, so thank you Hilton, we are having an amazing time. Michaela and Ian Poile
Hilton Barbados Day Pass
Pam M (Saint Louis, Missouri) on Mar 18, 2024
March 2024 - Did the Hilton Barbados Day-Pass Took a taxi from the cruise port area. $15 for 2 of us. Taxi to return was $20 (?) Check-in & wristbands are at the gym located bottom level beachside. Use of gym not included w/ Day-Pass. $110 per person but does include a $30 food credit. Covers an average lunch on the menu at their convenient beachside bar & grille. Service & food were very good! Beautiful beach & multiple pool areas were ideal for hanging out. Perfect sand & waves to play in. Plenty of chairs/umbrellas to choose from on beach or at pool areas. Large clean change room/restrooms located adjacent to pools. Didn't encounter any wildlife all day but prior to leaving came face-to-face with a monkey near the changing rooms. Looked down for my camera & by the time I looked up it was nowhere in sight. Maybe watch your food if in a chair near that area. We couldn't decide which of Barbados' 80 beaches we wanted to go to but at end of day we were extremely happy with our choice to experience the Hilton.
Wonderful time

My wife and I just returned home from a wonderful week at the Hilton. Like many other reviewers, I can not understand the negative reviews. We found the facilities all met our expectations - clean, comfortable, and well maintained. No, it is not the Four Seasons, but neither is the price! It certainly though meets all of Hilton's standards. We also found the staff to be notably great. Everyone we encountered was helpful and friendly, and added to our enjoyment. We would definitely return. One recommendation to the hotel - add a couple of servers to go pool side and beach side. Sure the beach bar is right there, so it's not too much of a hassle to get a drink or a snack, but it would be nice if someone was there to bring it to you. (we are all on vacation after all!) One recommendation for travelers - each morning on the beach just outside of the resort, at about 6:30 to 7:30 am the local Horse Track brings all of the horses for a swim. It's really quite a scene and well worth the three minute walk to get there!
