Admittedly I was a little worried about booking here for my holiday after reading some reviews. But within a day I was more than happy with my choice, this hotel is perfect value for money for what you pay to what you get. Room was spacious and clean, we picked a pool access room which was literally step out the front door and your in the lazy river. Food was always cooked well and fresh, we used drifters for our evening meals and lunches and always has plenty of choice of good food. Breakfasts was great in Rachael’s with the lovely view over the hotel. Drifters bar was excellent (quick shout out to Richard who was top notch) sometimes service could be slow but expected when you have families ordering 10 cocktails at once. The swimming pools are perfect with plenty of room for everyone. The grounds are kept lovely and the gardeners and pool guys are always up for a chat and a laugh. Beach is beautiful just a shame it’s a little hard to get in the sea but this is Barbados and every beach is public so have an adventure to find the one you like. Hotel is perfectly placed for getting to Bridgetown also for local shops to do a little shopping. If your booking with virgin the rep Heather is amazing make sure you book a car through her. All in all we had an amazing stay and was so sad to leave. Just remember how much your paying to stay in this hotel before you complain also remember your in the Caribbean and things might take a little longer than at home!

Firstly we had a bit of bad luck - my hubby has cancer but was well when we booked (to originally go in March) However, due to the need for further treatment we had to postpone until September. He now suffers neuropathy in his feet and on the flight over one foot ballooned! The brochure does say it's not suitable for those with mobility problems so we were not sure how we'd cope. Fortunately, we booked all inclusive with the club upgrade so we didn't need to go anywhere else - he could manage to hobble to the sun deck so we enjoyed a very chilled holiday - lovely weather excellent service, especially from Petal & Alisha on the sun deck - they really looked after him. The room and terrace were lovely, breakfast at Rachel's was brilliant and overall the staff are wonderful and we would definitely go back (once hubby is more mobile). There was entertainment on every night so considering we couldn't leave and get around it certainly didn't spoil things - loved it!!

We stayed at the Savannah Hotel for 1 week. Our arrival at reception was late due to our delayed Virgin Flight. However, the greeting was fabulous with no messing around, a quick overview of the hotel was presented by reception then we were shown to our rooms. Paperwork to be dealt with in the morning. An evening meal was also waiting if we required it. The room was absolutly perfect as were the staff. Very friendly and accommodating. The food was good and we always had good service either at the bar or the restaurants. The hotel does have a lot of steps so not particularly accomodating for those with mobility issues. The hotel is ideally located to get around the Island and you wont feel stranded. Lots of local buses so no problems getting around. I would certainly come back to this hotel without hesitation. Super Staff and Super Friendly.

    Excellent!

We stayed here for one week from the 4th October, after reading some reviews I was wondering what on earth to expect, I need not it was fantastic, staff lovely, food great, drinks fab......nothing to complain about whatsoever.....to the people that want everything in the blink of an eye remember you are in Barbados..... Barbados time. We stayed in a lovely room, big comfortable bed, lovely balcony. Saw the monkeys and turtles Drifters bar was nice in the evning to chill with a beer or cocktail... there was some entertainment there most nights. We ate at Rachels several times the food was delicious.... never tried Chopsticks I cannot wait to go back :)

We have just returned from a 2 week holiday from Savannah. I found the hotel to be very good, the room was cleaned daily, the food was very nice and all staff were very helpful and friendly. The only negative I have is that we were woken up most mornings by work being carried out but I do appreciate that the hotel has work that needs to be completed. I read through some of the negative reviews before i came and I was concerned, however we didn't experience any problems. I would recommend the hotel providing more information about what they have to offer e.g. trips to St Lawerence Gap and food serving times/restaurant opening days etc as we didn't really receive enough info regarding this. Thank you for an amazing holiday! We would stay at the hotel again and recommend for others to stay here.
