We stayed at the Reflect Cancun for 12 days in November 2019. And this is my review. Firstly we stayed at the Altitude Tower which is the building connected to the original Reflect tower. Many reviews mentions issues with the Reflect, note that this review is the Altitude Tower Luxury version of our stay. Location, Location, Location. The reflect is on the most beautiful beach with pristine waters in all of the hotel zone of Cancun. Because of the wall situated to the East side, it blocks the waves and creates a beach that is tranquil and in parts shallow. On some days the sea was as calm as a lake, some days a few waves crashed, but on those days, the other resorts had red flags, few people in the ocean. The sea temperature was between 83F and 86F. Poolside was between 77F and 83F. Depending of weather. The beach sand was perfect, no rocks, nor seaweeds. The reflect could be a 5* but misses this opportunity. The room originally offered was very big (226) and nice, but the view was of the Reflect tower and the pool. Not what was paid for. Requested the ocean front, which was what we paid for, and received it. It did not start our stay on the right foot. :( The next room, was the 1030. Wow, smaller, but a perfect view of the ocean and the beach and hotels. The balcony was nice with 2 chaises and table with full sun all day. Off on the right side you have bars, Coco bongo etc. Its a 5 minute walk to the bars, on a beautiful walkway. The bed was lumpy with a slope in the middle and on Tuesday’s you have the chance to hear the music of the beach bars until 4 am. :( Since, all the hotels are close by, you can hear the trucks backing up (beep-beep) at 5 am, police sirens, etc. Upon arrival we opened the patio doors wide open to let the fresh air in. Because it smelled cigarette smoke, and later smelt like sewers. The fresh air was nice but must have attracted mosquitoes because the wife got eaten alive. Our fault. So why did it smell like sewage ? If we put the air conditioning the temperature would drop to 68F (20C). So we would shut it off, so no air circulation, the smell would permeate in the room. Starting the fan would help, but it would get cold quickly. Doors are very sturdy so when you close them. BANG the whole floor knows that you are leaving or coming in. Room has a huge safe, and coffee machine Keurig style. Nice. Soda pops and plenty of water bottles. No alcohol in room. No beers, no rum, nothing. Food, as others reviewed, very little selection, but it was good. Risotto Italian restaurant service was very good, the veal shank was to die for, but the risotto was very salty. The restaurant El Mortero 4 min walk towards the CocoBongo, was fantastic. As a guest of the resort, they will explain how the meal works. A few plates are extra charge. Otherwise everything is included. At breakfast buffet a tip: must request bacon. Bacon is a national treasure, so once seated, ask for coffee and bacon. Next tip, don’t drink the coffee, it’s awful. Go the the Coco Cafe for a good coffee or latte. You must reserve in advance at the restaurant Ayami (asian) and Risotto and El Mortero. Buffet and Grill do not need reservations. Went to the grill one nite and took 50 min to receive our main course. Thankfully we had no where else to go! The Mexican night was very sad. A few typical dishes, a soup, and desserts. I have never seen such a small variety of food. At the beach, starting around 10h15, you can be served drinks and at lunchtime you can ask for burgers or others snacks. Grounds: the resort is multilevelled, so stairs everywhere.. Its good exercise, I guess? In the Altitude, you have access to a smaller breakfast, which is quieter and they make your eggs to order. Nicer, kind of like a continental breakfast. They also serve appetizer 5@7. All day coffee machine is available. Also have a Bally bed for one day which is nice. Otherwise 75$USD for a Bally bed. The elevators were quick and cool, compared to other reviews that say that the elevators were slow because they stayed at the regular tower. A infinity pool is also exclusive to Altitude guests. A special Thanks to Monica at the Altitude reception, always smiling and is attentive to our needs.

Stayed here for 4 nights all inclusive for a girls trip and had the best time. Resort is super chill with a relaxed vibe but super close to nightlife/party - best of both worlds! Best part was the beach!! If you are a beach person, then this is your resort!! White sand beach with crystal clear, calm ocean water and the best wait service from Raul and Fernando. Next to the amazing beach would be the awesome staff. Everyone was super friendly and hardworking. Ivette from lobby bar, Ines from housekeeping to front desk - all were exceptional. Would highly recommend this place and would come back in a heartbeat.

Great location, GREAT staff and lots of fun with our friends!

We did a big 11 person friend trip to Cancun and stayed at the Reflect. There was a mix of us who have done all-inclusive before, some who haven't. The resort staff were fun, attentive, patient, all around absolutely terrific! The rooms and hotel are clean and kept clean daily. Water was abundant and they even have a number of 'green' practices in place to reduce their eco-footprint. The beach out front is truly beautiful and the pools are really great! There is a decent variety of food (the buffet does themed nights and it was really awesome to get to eat a Mexican buffet outside on the beach). The Italian restaurant was AMAZING! We didn't really enjoy our trip to La Hacienda Mortero (a Mexican restaurant a few steps off site) but the Mariachis there really made up for it. Though this hotel is amazing, I would not say it's necessarily for children. The activities for children are limited. They also had trouble accommodating a group our size at the restaurants on site but were also pleasant and did their best. I would absolutely stay here again!

Many staff has a great hospitality not only in altitude area but also other area. Also this hotel has a good restaurants for dinner, and good breakfast buffet. Additionally, the wave height of the front of this hotel area is lower than other Cancun hotel zone.
