We came for a long weekend getaway. Deserves the 5 stars- nice and modern place. Awesome lighting throughout the resort. Service was great. Food was great- great options. They always had pink sugar cookies on the ready too which goes a long way when I'm on vacation. We had many great servers but one that stands out was Carlos at Blue Water restaurant. Great guy and went above and beyond while serving us. Will be back!

    This place is beyond amazing!

This hotel is amazing all of the amenities, staff, restaurants, bars, animation team are incredible since all of the time everything is focused in what the customer wants always providing a premium service. We stayed in the Pomerol suite win jkv j kyukkihk ibkjo oijocj boihyobk i n iuijiibbihoin i ijkjcichvihohv obi jbivko jih ivik hich is on the top floor of the hotel which it has an amazing view of all of the Cancun hotel strip with both sea and lagoon view, the room as well was outstanding and really clean and confotrable. Since we where there for the day of Mexico's independence remembrance the hotel put up a México theme dinner and show on one of the pools area and it was amazing. I would definitely recommend this hotel no matter what. Stop looking since you already found the best hotel in Cancun. Best! SK

Two of my friends and I stayed at this resort for my 29th birthday from September 13th to the 17th & I am so satisfied with my decision to stay there. From the moment we arrived until we left, the service was amazing. Upon entering & walking up the stairs there was a gentleman with champagne waiting for us. Our concierge, Terrance was the best! Any questions we had, him or any of the others working the check-in area were able to assist us. They took our luggage up to our room for us, which was a first for me. There were so many great things about this resort, that I can't even begin to name them all. There are six restaurants to you can dine at, but we did not get a chance to visit them all. Reservations were not required & we did not have to wait to be seated. The bartenders were able to make any drink we requested. September 15th, my birthday was also their Independence Day so they had a performance & dinner on the property for that. It was pretty cool. A banner was placed on the door of our room that said "Happy Birthday". Our room was modern, clean and had an great view of the ocean as well as the boulevard and downtown Cancun. Our mini fridge was restocked twice daily & we had turn down service in the evening. There are I believe four pools on the property and the resort is right on the water. I loved being able to order drinks and food from the beach. This is my second resort experience and it has truly set the standard for future vacations.

We went back home to the Vine on August 28 through September 7 to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. STV is located about 18 minutes from the Cancun Airport and every room offers a spectacular view of the ocean and the Laguna Nichupte. We have been to the Vine on numerous occasions and, as in the past, this welcome home did not disappoint. Our stay began with a big welcome from the staff who greeted us with huge smiles, a cold towel and a glass of champagne; what a way to start your vacation. It is always a pleasure to see Ms. Martinez, Mario and Luigi from the Unlimited Vacation Club and also Ms. Krystal Martinez, STV Chief Concierge. We were pleasantly surprised to be personally greeted by Mr. Jean-Pierre Sorin, the Vines General Manager, who happened to be in the lobby upon our arrival, a wonderful to be welcomed “back home”. Some special thanks goes out to Ruben for handling our luggage for us, it’s always “a pleasure” to see his smiling face. Once again, the Vine did not disappoint. The resort was in pristine condition. The staff works tirelessly to keep it that way. Their attention to detail is over the top and they take pride in their work; no wonder it remains a top resort in the Cancun area. On this visit back home, we were upgraded to an oceanfront, honeymoon preferred suite on the 22 floor that included a private check in with Luis. The room was large with dual closets and offered spectacular views of the ocean and the pools from the huge, wrap around balcony. Beds were extremely comfortable; the showers are huge with dual overhead rain shower heads and the room also included a gigantic soaking tub. The room was stocked with all the amenities you needed, sunscreen, tooth brush, tooth paste, razor and on and on. Another added perk is free international calling to the US and Canada. We were surprised with rose petals and heart shaped balloons decorating the bed along with a very special welcome package provided by Felix and Jessica, thank you so very much for thoughtfulness in making us feel like family. The room was serviced impeccably every day with turn down service in the evening. The mini bar was stocked daily with M & M’s, pringles and mini bottles of liquor. The refrigerator was filled daily with your favorite choice of beverages. The free Secrets Wi-Fi was much improved over our previous visits. Our days usually got started with a premium coffee at the Vine Cafe, where Enid always greeted us with a smile and provided friendly, outstanding service. We did miss our friend Ixchel who was out on maternity leave and we are looking forward to seeing her on our next visit back home. The Vine Café has added numerous mouthwatering items (Carmel bacon and triple chocolate donuts, just to mention a couple) to their already expansive daily selections. We took advantage of the Preferred Club lounge on the 21st floor which offered many delectable items along with you “beverage of choice”. You could not go wrong at either location. The dining at the Vine continues to be exquisite. There is really nothing you could want for. The six restaurants, Market Café, Sea Salt, Dragons, Bluewater Grill, Nebbiolo Ristorante and Olio offer a variety of cuisine. Men are required to wear long pants (jeans are acceptable) at the Dragons, Bluewater Grill and Nebbiolo Ristorante for dinner fare. The Barefoot Grill was not opened during this visit due to the construction that was taking place on the Sugar Reef pool area (the renovation turned out beautiful) and did not hamper our vacation one bit. We dined at the Market Café for the breakfast buffet but did not take advantage of it as one of our dinner selection. It was great to see Cesar again and we did miss Veronica (Omelet Chef) who was on leave during this visit. The breakfast selections are endless but our go to item was the made to order omelets. Our lunch choices continue to be the steak and shrimp kabobs or the lamb wraps at the Olio Restaurant in the Preferred Club pool area or the fish tacos and fries from the Sea Salt restaurant. Both restaurants have may other items on their menus. Lunch service is provided at the pool areas, which is a nice added touch for us sun lovers. Now to the main course. The restaurants all have exquisite dinner dining options on their menus. Service was excellent no matter which restaurant we dined at and everyone went out of their way to make sure our experience was enjoyable. House wines are always available for you to enjoy with your dinner selections. At the Bluewater Grill, we were greeted by Mikel the restaurant manager and it was “our pleasure” to see Alejandro again who did his best to pamper us. His outgoing personality is an asset to STV. One of our favorite meals at the Bluewater Grill continues to be the Corn soup and the tender filets. We dined at the Dragons three nights on this trip and each night was a delightful experience. We had “the pleasure” to meet Elaine, the restaurant’s new manager, she always met us with a smile and went out of her way to accommodate our every request. Jose once again delivered great service. Along with the sushi, our favorite meal there was the Mongolian Beef with fried rice. Chef Armando continued to provide special presentations of sushi on each one of our dinners, he is truly amazing. The Nebbiolo continues to my wife’s favorite. It was great to see “Quam”, the restaurant manager and his staff. Bryant ensured that our dining experience was very special. We enjoyed dinners that included Beef Carpaccio, Asparagus soup, Mushroom Risotto, Ossobuco and the Tortellini’s with white asparagus. We have a very special recognition for two individuals, Felix Jijon and Chef Maribel: Felix organized a very memorable evening for my wife and me which included a special dinner and a private serenade by a mariachi band and a crooner. He runs a smooth operation and continues to be all over the resort ensuring that everyone’s dining experience is unforgettable. It was a “pleasure” to see our great friend Felix once again. His personality speaks for itself. He is a very kind individual and is always working hard in all the restaurants to ensure everything is just right. He continues to be an asset to STV and a dear friend to us. Chef Maribel, she is the best. She was always available with a suggestion for an entrée and answer any questions we may have had, Her and her staff treated us to a very special anniversary dinner finishing up with a “out of this world” triple chocolate cake with raspberry filling. Thank you both for all the effort you put into ensuring our dining experiences are extraordinary. The bartenders continue to be awesome. They work hard at keeping everyone happy with their drink of choice, including top shelf liquor. A very special thank you goes out to Roberto, Jamie, Alejandro, Alex, Lucas, Braulio, Mikael, Erik and Ismael; they always had our drinks ready for us if we “bellied up” to the bar and were always willing to mix a special beverage upon request. The service around the pool and beach areas was once again excellent. A big shout out to Itzel, who continues to have the biggest smile on her face all the time, Blanca Chocolate, Martha, Veronica, Fernando, Oliver, Alberto, Norber, Roberto, Adolpho, and Sergio for keeping the adult beverages coming. The bartenders and servers have a tireless job but they continue to preform it in an effortless manner; another reason we continue to call the Vine home. And we could not forget about our good friend Issac who was all over the place, it is always good to see his smiling face. Thank you all. The entertainment staff: Yesica, Angelys (loves Pringles), Hugo, Felipe, Fernando and Jorge continued to keep you as busy as you would like to be. We had a blast with all the activities they provided. We played Bingo, Pictionary and Poker at the pool, Horseshoes and Bocce on the beach. We also enjoyed the daily entertainment at the Manatee Bar pool area which included dancers, bands and an extraordinary electric violin player. The beach is expansive with fine white sand and has plenty of loungers available along with several cabanas which are on a first come first serve basis. We never had to wait for our drink of choice. On this trip, the normal, turquoise blue water was stained with some seaweed (the staff worked diligently to clean the beach area daily) but that did not stop us from enjoying the Caribbean Water we love so much. The beach and the water are also one of the reasons we keep coming back to STV. The two infinity pools (one on the 12th floor in the preferred section) offer amazing views of the beach and the (normally) beautiful blue Caribbean water. The other two pools are large and comfortable with the Sugar Reef pool sporting a brand-new renovation, which is amazing. In closing, the resort and its staff are amazing. From the towel girl (Gloria) up to the General Manager, Mr. Jean-Pierre Sorin, every individual at STV ensures your trip back home is the best experience you could have. Thank you all, once again for making this vacation spectacular.
