From the airport pickup to the point that they brought us back there, everything was perfect. 5 days of full relaxation. The room was very comfy, from the big shower, bed to the view to the ocean. The Dragons restaurant was our favorite, in total there are about 6 restaurants around. The service was German-style, very attentive and welcoming. If it was at the pool or in the saloon. Also the Spa did a good job. The location is also perfect, as it's directly at the beach. Some relaxation we definitely needed after our time in Peru.

We just returned from our Cancun vacation at Secrets. We chose the oceanfront Honeymoon suite on the preferred club level. The room was very spacious and an awesome view of the ocean and property below. As for the preferred club, we did enjoy the lunch at Olio that is only available for club members, but preferred the main pools over the club level. As for the club itself, we had exceptional service from Jorge Martinez on numerous occasions and he was always friendly and ready to assist. As for the room butler, we only saw him once during our 6 day stay.

This review will be long but necessary... We came to this resort with another couple to celebrate many things and also get a much needed break. This resort checked all the boxes when we first started planning our trip. It surpassed the boxes once we arrived! The resort was about 20-25 minutes away from the airport. I recommend a private transfer vs a shared transfer to cut down on time. Everyone at this resort was so friendly and genuinely wanted to make sure you were taken care of. A few members of the staff that deserve extra shoutouts: -Cristian: bar tender at the preferred bar. He was absolutely fantastic. He always remembered our drink orders and went out of his way to get anything we might have needed -Francisco: also helped at the preferred bar and was so nice -Noroberto: waiter at the pool, he always had our drinks ready and was so friendly. He never forgot our drink order and seemed to show up just at the right time with a new one. One of the nicest people we met -the entertainment team: Fernando, Angelys, Yessica, Jorge and Hugo all were fantastic, so warm and friendly; they weren’t pushy at all to engage in different activities -Mayombee and Jesus: bartenders at the piano bar treated us like family and never let us run out of a drink -the waiter and manager at Dragons: we can’t remember their names but they was so nice and accommodating. The manager told us he loved interacting with guests and you could really tell because he was so genuine and friendly. The food was really good at all the restaurants as well. We definitely ate and drank enough to cover the price you would spend for an all inclusive resort. The beach was very nice but we stayed at the pool the majority of the time and just looked out at the gorgeous water. The rooms were huge and the balcony was so pretty because we could see the lagoon and the ocean at the same time. We recommend upgrading to the preferred for the view and extra attention. This was probably one of the best all inclusive resorts we have stayed at and we try to travel to one in different locations and resorts every other year. The Amresorts brand might just be the best yet. Our trip was everything we wanted and more. Thank you to all the staff at Secrets The Vine!

I would like to begin with the fact that this is now our 14th time to Mexico (from the UK) in the past 10 years. I would class myself as an experienced traveller particularly when it comes to Mexico. We have been fortunate enough to stay at other Secret resorts seven times, both excellence properties and El Dorado Royale to name a few. Despite coming to this area several times this was our first time at both the Secrets the Vine and Cancun. We had an amazing time! We initially had a few reservations being in Cancun (in case it was too lively) and Secrets Maroma beach had been our favourite resort by far and we knew that any other place would struggle to get to the standards – The Vine ALMOST did and I put that down to food and beverage manager Carlos – An absolute asset to the hotel and and brand. I can hand on heart say he made our holiday from ‘good’ to Excellent! Below is an outline of our experience at the vine; Hotel itself – Well designed, beautiful, modern and clean. Despite being ‘Cancun’ it wasn’t noisy and there was a nice vibe. There was no noise from Hard Rock next door either. Preferred club – We upgraded. We don’t usually at other Secret resorts but with the much larger room, even higher floors with incredible views and added perks we thought we would ‘splash’ out. We are glad we did although all rooms are nice. With preferred you get separate pool. This was nice but we barely used it as we love the beach. There is also a separate lunch time restaurant which was nice (more below). There is also a bar on floor 21. This was handy as this was our floor. We would have had a great stay with or without preferred but the views and room were a certain plus. Staff – As per other reviews they make the place. All true professionals, hard-working and have genuine smiles. One reason we keep returning to this area. Rooms – All rooms are great though. Clean and modern with good views clean spacious and modern. Maid service was good and we had this and turn down at perfect times of the day. Mini bar was also stocked every day at appropriate times. I would advise you ask for Hard rock side for best views (standard or preferred) Restaurants – This is where both I and partner were impressed. We love our quality fresh food, seafood most, and we had such a fabulous choice. Breakfast, We actually only had this twice during our stay. We tend to save ourselves for a large, long and leisurely lunch. Buffet seemed ok. Varied but comparing to other resorts it looked a little limited. Lunch, We didn’t use the buffet as like to be waited on. We did visit the buffet one day though, due to poor weather, and I feel selection of meat and fish was a bit limited again. However, A la carte options were fantastic. The Sea salt Grill offered an amazing variety of ceviche and seafood dishes. We ate here most lunches – catch of the day was to die for. As we were in preferred we could also dine at Olio for lunch. Again off menu and food was very good with plenty of fish specialities. We found there was a little less atmosphere and also service could be hit and miss so we went to Sea salt in the main - Good to have an additional a la carte though. There are also several options for people wanting quick lunch snacks such as burgers, pizza e.t.c poolside and beach Dinner restaurants, Overall very, very good. We did not try Olio as the cuisine was not to our taste and there were many other restaurants that would probably satisfy us better. Our favourites were Sea salt grill, Bluewater Grill and Nebbilio (Italian). The food and service in these 3 restaurants was superb and food was great. The Mexican was also really good - It was very quiet on both occasions which is a shame as the food was really nice. Sea salt had a great range of fish dishes. Blue water was a mix of steak and Seafood. The Italian, Italian (obviously) but not just pasta and pizza - Some really good meat and fish dishes. We went to Dragons twice (the Oriental). We were disappointed on both occasions. Service was either ridiculously slow or food came out almost cold and at the wrong times – sashimi with the mains…? This was a bit of a shame and surprise as other secret resorts (and different brands) have nailed the oriental restaurant. Food in the main at The Vine was excellent though. Pools/Beach – The beach is lovely. We were lucky as the seaweed situation had subsided when we arrived so we had crystal clear water and white sand. Drink service was decent and regular. The sea was a bit choppy but lovely. I would have to comment that the beach service/comfort could be improved – cushioned loungers and more help with sun umbrellas... We aren’t really pool people but there are several options. The ones by the beach seemed livelier. The bigger one further back seemed almost empty most days. Preferred club pool –nice and quiet infinity pool and very chilled.

We are sold - a vacation of this type was never on our radar but the entire experience has convinced that we will be back. Food was great, staff were excellent, the massage dee-lish, just an overall great experience.
