    I will start with the good. The resort and grounds are very well maintained and clean. A few of the staff are very helpful and friendly. I was charged a $350 usd deposit upon check in the travel agency did not make me aware of. Unhappy. Fortunately the manager on duty when I checked out was kind enough to refund it immediately instead of waiting for " up to 2 weeks for the bank to do so." Thank you ma'am. Now, of the 3 " world class " (by their own exclamation) restraunts, 1 was a buffet with limited hours, selections and par service at best. Not world class. The other 2 had again very limited selections for dinner only, and again only good service 2 times out of 5. Nina and Wendy you rock! The drinks available in the all inclusive package consist of 1 type of warm & flat beer. No wine list because they only have 3 types, total, on property ( all not very palatable). As for the spirits, all cheaper than rail drinks most bars and weak enough a 90 lb grandma could drink all day and still play a mean game of bingo. To the manager and staff that made my stay pleasant, thank you. Everything else needs some work. Returning to Curacao, Absolutely! Staying at Acoya, nope.

    We are so glad we decided to go with our own assessment of Acoya. Acoya Resortnamd Villas in Curaçao exceeded our expectations. The General Manager Jose Abreu has earned our future business and we have already referred family and friends to stay at this property. We chose to do the all inclusive and we have Nothing but good things to say. The food had enough variety and we enjoyed the service. In fact we asked for the traditional Johnny cake and pasteche and the service staff rose to the occasion. We want to thank Mavis the Chef. What a sweet lady it was like having mom cook for her children. She puts a lot of love in her meals. The Service staff where fantastic. Thank you Sendeline, Tesellee and Shanuska for always remembering us when we sat to eat. All of the service staff went above and beyond. Thank you Margarete and your service staff for the special well planned dinners with entertainment. The bartenders were all great and hit the mark on all the beverages and specialty drinks. I don’t think anyone staying at the resort can have an issue with the bar service as they went to great lengths to ask what The Customer wanted. Thank you to the front lobby hosts especially Gail, Zachcheus and Samantha. You guys were genuine in your concerns. We travel often to Aruba as we own there and we have to say that Curaçao has won us over and we will be back to the Acoya as they made us feel like Family and cares to our needs every time. Acoya General Manager Mr. Abreu is the standard to meet! GO SEE FOR YOURSELF they care about YOUR Business.     Great place for Families

    We just returned from an all-inclusive accommodation at the Acoya Resort. Our first time for an all-inclusive and we definitely recommend it to families. The facility is very nice, the food selection was pretty good (though you get tired of the buffet after 3 days) so we did venture out every now and then. I wouldn't normally book a hotel that wasn't beachfront, however, after going to Mambo Beach almost daily, I am not sure also if I'd want to stay at a Mambo Beach hotel. Mambo Beach is a very popular beach so it gets very crowded. During the weekends, the beach is setting up for party nights so there's a lot of sound checking and loud music going on. My teens enjoyed Mambo Beach because of the shops and it was fun for them to go for ice cream or Starbucks. So the fact that we could go back to our peaceful and quiet hotel was also nice so you got a little break from the bustling beach. The only thing I would recommend to the resort is to have other options than just swimming. I wish they had a place to hang out and sit, play board games, a gaming arcade or an ice cream shop. So happy they had nightly entertainment and we were there on that one Saturday night when all the beaches were also having Oktoberfest and other festivities of their own. Our hotel had a Carnaval parade. That was a treat!

    We went there the last weekend of September for my boyfriend's birthday and it was awesome. We had a villa with private pool. You get all the kitchen utensils,so you don't need to worry about anything but the food that you'll like to cook. (If you don't choose the 'all inclusive' package ofcourse) It's very spacious and the kids enjoyed being there and having the pool just for them. It's very quiet and relaxing. I'll definitely recommend you to stay here.

    Acoya is a beautiful resort that may potentially grow to a world class facility. However, at this point in time, the service is fair / average and the reality in the resort is less than promised in the pictures and hotel descriptions. Firstly, the restaurants are called 'world class', which they are simply 'not'. The menu card is simple and very limited. There is no wine list. The hotel serves only three wines, one red, one rosé and one white. One restaurant serves a buffet type dinner. Also not 'world class', but average. Breakfast is served in one of the restaurants. When asking for earl grey tea, it appeared that there was no such tea. The servant left without coming back. The choice at the breakfast buffet is just fine. Some guests are 'all inclusive'. They have pink bracelets. Other guests are regular. Staff at the reception desk speak hardly Dutch, which is a significant disadvantage for the many Dutch visitors. There are no laundry lists and laundry bags in the hotel rooms. Upon asking for laundry service, the first reply from the reception desk is that you have to pay USD 5 for soap and that you can do your own laundry in a washing machine. Finally, the reception indicated that there is also a laundry service and a laundry list was given together with a garbage bag to put the laundry in. After the service, the laundry was not returned to the room, but needed to be collected at the reception desk. I had an apartment with a small swimming pool. The apartment was clean, spacious and well equipped.These apartments are certainly to be recommended.
