The Inn on Fifth

Fun, easy, issue-free stay for us at the Inn on Fifth starting Easter for a few days. Service was very friendly and attentive, pool area was about as pretty as a rooftop in this area can be, room was clean, bathroom was nicely renovated. I can't really call it a luxury hotel, but more of a dressed-up mid-range, though the price was 1/3 of the Ritz-Carlton... so it was very fair. Although you're not on the beach and a bit of a walk, we absolutely loved the location. We loved having Ocean Prime & Truluck's downstairs for happy hour or a nightcap, and our dinners were over on 3rd, which is still a relatively easy and pleasant walk. The beach isn't too far away. I have to admit that the decor isn't to my taste and came across as a bit cheesy and dated. The black/white/red/shiny aesthetic doesn't really fit the environment and would be so much more attractive if renovated with a more beachy feel. I saw that it was recently renovated online and frankly thought the room photos were pre-renovation. Just personal taste, but it would keep me coming back at a rate any higher than what we paid.

My husband and I wanted to take a little staycation for our anniversary from and Naples is nice because it’s such a slower pace of life compared to Miami, so we decided to go there. I’ve seen Inn on Fifth several times while on day trips to Naples, and since it’s in the heart of all the action, I wanted to stay there. While reserving one of the Royal Suites, I asked for a complimentary bottle of champagne because of our anniversary, not expecting it all, to be honest, but I figured I might as well try. When we entered the room, we saw a nicely priced bottle on ice with a card and two champagne glasses. They won me over then and there. The Royal Suites are at the end of the hall with their own double doors so it was kind of nice to get a little extra seclusion. And finally, having a large room with a seating area and a separate tub in the bathroom was so nice. We definitely got more than we paid for! The hotel itself is very very neat and clean, spacious and European looking with some of the structure and features. The hotel staff was also very accommodating. Overall, I just loved it there. I definitely will be returning.

This is one of the premier hotels in Florida. Very personal and perfect location for Old Naples. Walking distance to all restaurants, the beach and waterfront area. We have stayed here many times as well as other locations in Old Naples and this is our favorite.

This was our 4th or 5th stay at the Inn on Fifth, and as in the past the accomodations were superb. We had an issue the first night with noise, but the concierge Lea was able to move us to another club level suite that was better. The staff was extremely attentive to our every need as we have experienced before. The one exception that led to four stars instead of five was the overall lack of proper safety precautions inside the club level suites. Although masking was required, it was not being enforced, and guests were allowed to walk throughout the building without masks. This was not unique to the Inn on Fifth but was prevalent eveywhere we went during our visit to Naples, including restaurants. It seems like the entire town is under a false sense of security that the pandemic is over. We understand this is a challenge to enforce, but it did make us uncomfortable during the visit that the safety protocols noted on the website were not being consistently adhered to by all.

The trip started out not so great. The hote let someone else check into our room using our name and credit card info. They found us a room for the night and we switched to the room we paid for the next day. They wanted us to switch soon after they called us. Which was a bit of an inconvenience, as they had booked the room we were in for the coming evening (not our problem). We were relaxing poolside and trying to unwind. They said they would take something off our bill for the first night, which they did. Overall the place is beautiful, clean and in a great spot on fifth. We prefer to be closer to the beach. They do have a convenient shuttle to bring you down and back from the beach. We used their beach chairs which looked like they were from the 1990’s. We were told they were available on a first come first serve basis. We obviously got the last ones. Note to the Inn: better to say they are all gone than give those terrible chairs out. Or spend $1000 and get 20 decent new chairs. The shuttle was great and staff was friendly and helpful.
