    Have been here three times with my family. Such a wonderful relaxing family vacation. The employees are amazing and so accommodating especially Neil who waits on you hand and foot beachside or poolside. He is such a nice, thoughtful and extremely hardworking person.

    Spent 5 nights here in March and yes, we booked late so paid way too much money for a Marriott but had some friends already going and staying there so we surpassed the Kimpton to be near our friends and kind of regret it. We arrived around 1:30 PM and yes are aware it was before check-in. The welcome was a little crazy as there was a Sunday brunch happening. So, we were handed a huge packet of information and said that as we were Gold members they would rush our room and call once it was ready and that we could change clothes in a nearby bathroom. By 4PM (check in time) we had heard nothing, so went to the front and he said - oh yes, its ready. Handed us keys and not even a gesture to where the elevators were located. Never received a phone call, but our room was clearly ready before 4. We kind of muddled through all the paperwork but didn't find out until we were missing things that in our packet was information on daily activities - which was listed as Kids Club & Activities. Which we didn't read as we were not traveling with kids - Note to all of you: it has ALL activities. Service was kind of like that all week. Nothing really amazing and a little lazy. We went inside to eat and it closed at 11. Well - I am from the West Coast so on day one, I was not moving nor very hungry until about 10 and then made it down to the cafe and it was not available for food. Outside near the pool on day one I thought it was so cool they had sunscreen and aloe, but that was out some days and not others. I just felt like it was an OK experience, but I would choose the Kimpton next time as I have read such great things about it. It was nice being able to walk to some places though. And the beach location was great. Floating docks and such to hang out on and lots of chairs. The bellman at the door were the most helpful and nicest and the servers at the beach/pool were on it as well. Rooms were fine- very standard Marriott rooms.

    We recently spent 6 nights at the Marriott Beach Resort. The rooms need updating badly. There is only one pool for the whole resort. The food and drinks are extremely expensive. The beach is very small. All of that being said, the staff is great. Nelson, is one we remember for sure, and several others that helped us on the beach area. The beach does have some snorkeling right in front with no waves or currents. My husband is a Titanium Lifetime Elite, so we have stayed around the world in Marriotts. This one does need some updating in the rooms, but other than that, we had a great time and would go back.

    We stayed at the Grand Cayman Marriott from February 28 - March 8, 2020 Pros: - The staff were amazing. Kerry-Ann and Nicole assisted me with surprising my sister for her anniversary despite that I was unable to get her a room upgrade. The desk and restaurant staff were really friendly. Special thanks to the shuttle drivers and guys at the door! Greg was so nice and helpful, but also vibrant, enthusiastic, and genuine. Brando was so informative when we asked about fishing. Karl walked us right to the street and flagged down a bus for us. He even asked the driver to take us to Hell. Nelson always asked if we needed a shuttle as soon as he saw us. Thanks, guys! - The hotel lobby, hallways, grounds, and beach are immaculate and well cared for. - Standard hotel rooms with small balcony. Nice bedding / clean white sheets and covers. - The beach towels are clean and often warm from the laundry. - The hotel food is good quality. - Walking distance to several restaurants and shopping. - Hertz car rental onsite and free bicycle rentals. - The beach and everywhere else felt really safe. There were no pressure sales for merchandise or time shares. Cons: - THE NOISE. We had a courtyard view. Not only was the courtyard blocked off for private parties on several nights, rendering it unusable to other guests, but the party noise got louder as the evenings wore on. The noise bounced around the enclosed courtyard and echoed. For those of us getting up early to go fishing (or any other activity, most of which are purchased through the hotel concierge), those with small children, or generally those who spent hundreds of dollars per night to stay, this was unacceptable. For that reason I do not recommend the courtyard view. - Beach chairs are reserved early and unavailable most of the day despite a lot of people not using them. - There is no sand to lay down a towel. Beach chairs are lined up almost to the water's edge. - The restaurants can be pricy. As a couple we shared a two-person meal and each had one drink at the Verandah that cost about $135 Cayman dollars. Delicious, but small portions.

    We spent 5 days for spring break in March. From the bellman to the front desk to the cleaning service, all the employees had a smile on their face. If we were ever wandering an employee saw us they asked if they could assist. The beach service was fantastic. They handed out water and fruit and even aloe. The guys setting up and moving umbrellas always had a smile on their faces, The waiters were attentive without being obnoxious and served like they were happy to assist. I know mother nature changes the shape of the beach but it was fine in March. We would gladly stay here again.
