Here's the verification from the other reviews: 1) Garbage trucks come every other night at 3 AM and they are loud. I don't understand how the resort hasn't resolved this. 2) The rooms (at least mine and my friends) was moldy. The mold smell was so strong that it seeped into our cloths and it took 3 wash cycles to get the smell out. The funniest thing was the glade plug in air freshener in the room (red flag) that made the smell even worse. 3) The rooms are super dated. I'm OK with tired looking decor but certain things should be updated, i.e, chipped formica counter tops and appliances from the early 80s. 4) There are roosters but that didn't really bother me and that is not under the management's control. They are everywhere on the island. They do not crow at night. I know what you are thinking: "The place is cheap and I don't care about the decor. I'm just going to sleep there". Good luck sleeping in a depressing, noisy, moldy resort.

Great value - good service with excellent facilities especially with the use of westin a few minutes walk across the road to the fabulous beach- sunshine suite is friendly helpful and casual ensuring a relaxing holiday in cayman- particularly recommend sunshine grill for dining ! ??

Pros: cleaning staff (Pearly) what a sweetheart, location, use of the westin facilities, kitchenette, good wifi Cons: beds sink to the middle, sheets & blanket feel really cheap, hotel room hasn’t been updated since our last visit 20 yrs ago, dampness in the room We’ve been to Cayman many times over the past 20 yrs and it continues to be one of our favourite islands. We’ve stayed at Sunshine Suites in the past with a great experience however after this visit we would never come back. Water main break during our stay, while I understand it’s out of their control, at the point of this review it’s been 12hrs without water to be able to brush our teeth. The manager is not compensating guests for the inconvenience, I was told I could brush my teeth and use the toilet in the bathroom by the pool. Really?! We paid a lot of money to be here … needless to say, we won’t be coming back

Perhaps our 7th time here, as always a great stay!! Super friendly staff, Britney, Ellie, Juan Pablo, "Go Bulldogs". Great chow at Sunshine Grill, nice pool, affordable lodging for Cayman. Will be back for our 8th visit soon!! Have the Kingston burger at the grill!!

Rooms are fairly clean and the bed is quite comfortable. Kitchen is minimal and small. Nothing is provided like paper towels or salt and pepper. You will need to go shopping and get a few things or bring them with you from home . There is a coffee pot and they do provide two packets of coffee every morning.
