    Hands down the best surprise Mother’s Day get away! Our family was visiting for a short period of time specifically to celebrate Mother’s Day and I couldn’t asked for more in return. Being our first time here at the Hyatt Place Waikiki, I am quite impressed by the staff and the overall generous Aloha they have given us. I had book a package deal through Hawaiian Airlines and since it was my first time doing that, I wasn’t aware of what type of room we would get. The one I had booked originally was for a Standard room with a King Bed and a city view. The first vibe that I got upon entering Room #216 was not what I had expected. It was a little smaller for my taste and the view was not appealing. I was a little heart broken knowing this is what I paid for, 4 nights and 3 days. I was very hesitant at first to ask the front desk for a possible room change because I didn’t want to be a hassle. I just went with my gut and called the operator. I spoke with a sweet lady named Heidi and she was very accommodating to my situation and said that a room will not be available until the next day due to availability with graduation and the holiday going on. That gave me a little hope knowing everything will be taken care of. We went on accepting the room change for the next day and decided to get some late lunch. What’s super convenient is they had a Dominos Pizza eatery right in the hotel. That was a plus! I wasn’t quite satisfied at the fact that the room change wouldn’t be until the next day so I caught a front desk person who happened to be the Manager On Duty named Heidi. She was very comforting and really took the initiative to take great care of us. She moved us quickly into Room #609 with 2 queen beds, a pull out sofa, and a much spacious room. The view wasn’t as bad as the first room but I was instantly relieved and felt right at home with this room. The ambience and smell was perfectly acceptable. Thanks Joan!! The valet guys were very courteous and always greeted us on the spot coming in or out. I will rave about how much I enjoyed the free breakfast from 6a-10am!! It was super delicious and I couldn’t be more happier to the extent of what great guest service I had receive throughout my entire trip. Heidi & Staff, I personally want to Thank you from the bottom of my heart! I will definitely be recommending friends and family to your hotel! The dedicated staff and service is one of a kind!!

    The hotel and employees were wonderful. Excellant location with beautiful view of ocean and short walk to beach. Breakfast was excellant with big variety and alot of healthy options. Would love to stay here again.

    The hotel was quite central to buses and restaurants. Breakfast was not included when we booked and my friend had paid for breakfast, I did not. Then I found out it was included after a few days as I did not realise. The girl did mention where was breakfast, but as I did not pay for it, it was irrelevant. But then I found out so that was a big surprise and good value. They got a refund . My A/C was not working to a cool temperature and maintenance came to fix on 2 occasions, so I cannot complain about the promptness but it still was not cool enough

    We stayed at this hotel after transferring from our original hotel which ended up being not at all as was advertised. The Hyatt was incredible. Right from the checkin with Heidi it was a completely different experience. The staff was friendly, the rooms were great, the breakfast was one of the best we have had with our hotel stays. We couldn’t be happier and look forward to our next visit. Thank you to Heidi, Anna and Kyle who were wonderful to us.

    1st the positives, our room could not have been better, nice and large, great bed (king) and soft pillows, we also had a 4-5 seat sofa, and often had pre dinner drinks with friends in our spacious room. The free breakfasts were most welcome and a plus is the large tray supplied to each room so that you could take up breakfast to your room if you wanted to! The negatives - there are not enough lifts especially during the breakfast period which result in long waits (and sometimes cold breakfasts!) and finally the room "eco" option, were if you forgo getting your room made up and towels changed you get a $5 credit which must be redeemed at the Hyatt "store" - my recommendation is give it a miss - we opted for a service every second day but had to continually chase staff to do this and after 5 days without a service we opted out of the eco option and still had to chase up staff to get the room serviced!
