This large resort is located right on the beach next to the Wailea Grand and the Four Seasons. The property is spread out with several pools and good restaurants. The room we had was looking basically straight out to the water - must ask for Ocean Front. Ate on the balcony several nights and watched the sunsets. The room we had needed some updating so nothing special. The downside is the cost. I used points plus $$ but still quite expensive. As everyone says, the valet parking is ridiculously expensive, but super friendly and car was always waiting for us. If you can afford, have dinner at Roy Yamaguchi's restaurant and watch the sunset. Excellent food. I would stay here over the Ritz Carlton if you want beach front.

We stayed at the Wailea Marriott Beach resort from March 21st to the 28th. It was whale season and it was probably one of the best locations to watch the whales breach every afternoon. When we arrived, we were greeted by front desk manager Mei and it was by far one of the friendliest greetings ever. Mei gave us that warm aloha feeling by handing us a beautiful lei and a drink. We like Wailea more than Kanapali because of the remoteness and beautiful view of Maui head mountain. Our Ocean view room was spectacular and came with a refrigerator, coffee maker and beautiful lanai. There is a scenic one mile paved beach front walkway and jogging trail in front of the resort. The hotel has several nice ocean front pools, the kiddy pools with slides and the quiet pool for couples. The adult pool has a small tropical bar where you can relax and enjoy a Maitai and coconut shrimp and fish tacos, our favorites. The bartenders are all super friendly and funny, we enjoyed talking to all of them every day. Not easy to get a lounge chair at the adult pool unless you get on your Iphone at 5pm on the dot and manage to get this flawed system to work. We had problems securing a lounge chair but the front desk manager went out of her way to help us out and make our stay as comfortable as possible. They should clone front desk manager Mei and have a top professional like her at all the Bonvoy resorts. She definitely made our stay a memorable one and we look forward to going back to this resort which is now our favorite thanks to the amazing people who work there and make this resort one of a kind. Mahalo!

We love this hotel! They have swings in the front and day beds so you can take a nap in the shade on the lawn. There is a great kids area (shallow water) and two super fun water slides. You can easily take a walk on either the boardwalk or on the beach. They also have a specific section for guests on the beach (Umbrella color) so you don't need to fight for a chair. The beach is beautiful..The sand is perfect for building sand castles, the water is warm and calm.

The Marriott is an enormous property and seemed to be booked to capacity during our spring break. There are lines for everything! Unless you are up by 7am, be prepared to wait in a VERY long line for breakfast at either Starbucks or another café. If you want a chair on the beach (Marriot only has about 15), then you need to get in line at 7:45am. If you want a pool chair in the shade, you also need to get up by 7am to reserve one. So, it's not going to be a relaxing trip! Wailea Beach is pretty but it is VERY crowded and the Grand Wailea packs the beach chairs in one right next to the other on a huge strip of beach. There isn't a lot of room for anyone else! Because the resort is so large, it's at least 10 minutes to walk to the parking garage and that makes it tough to leave. But if you don't leave you will be spending A LOT of money in their overpriced restaurants. Be sure to ask exactly where your room is located. Although we are Elite status, our rooms was directly in front of the luau. We did not realize this until the second night, and by the end of our trip we did not ever want to experience a luau again! There are a lot of different accommodation options in Maui. I would not choose the Marriott again.

This was my family’s second trip to the Wailea Beach Resort. And just like the first visit, this trip was a huge success! This resort is CLEAN and well maintained. I feel the resort did their best to ensure proper Covid procedures were followed without being overly aggressive. I appreciated the friendly tone they used when asking patrons to wear a mask in public areas. I definitely get the sense that the staff who run this resort genuinely enjoy working there and seem to take pride in maintaining an awesome vacation environment for their guests. They are friendly and very helpful. Every employee greets you with a sincere “Aloha” and are more than ready to fulfill any request that might make your stay more enjoyable. The resort itself is breath taking with multiple pools and lounge areas as well as multiple bars and restaurants. I recommend the coconut smoothie with ice cream, that can be purchased from any drink station. We had one every day we were there :) The resort is also steps from gorgeous, somewhat secluded beaches. We had no problems maintaining a healthy distance from other folks while on the beach and while taking advantage of resort amenities. I would like to send a huge thank you to the Resident Manager (Stacy Pilkington), who went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable experience. I reached out concerning a potentially bothersome issue and she replied IMMEDIATELY and not only assured me that there would be no issues, but also followed up completely to fulfill that promise. We also had a nightmare flight to HI and ended up waiting 3 hours for our shuttle from the airport (no fault of the resort). But after explaining this to the Resident Manager, she put us in touch with Nikki (the concierge) who quickly reached out with multiple transportation options. After selecting the best travel option, Nikki took care of the rest. Our driver was there to pick us up 15 minutes early and Nikki totally saved the day by taking that stress off our minds. Just can’t say enough good things about the Wailea Beach Resort. They can’t wait to provide a truly memorable vacation. We’ll definitely be back!
