Stayed here with my wife and two 10-year old daughters, and we are very glad we chose the Wailea Beach Resort Marriott. The resort is at a beautiful location and had great family amenities, including a great kids pool with two spectacular, amusement-park level water slides. Our daughters couldn’t get enough of those water slides and they were fun for the parents too. We were always able to find chairs at the pool, which we were worried about because it was Spring Break. The pools and amenities are nicely spread out, and so the resort has a nice, relaxed, laid back feel, as compared to the more crowded, Disney-park feel of the Grand Wailea next door. The beaches adjacent to the resort are very nice, with turtles literally swimming with you in the waves. We saw probably 5 or 6 turtles a day just hanging out in the surf. Good snorkeling but you could also literally just see turtles just in the surf without a snorkel on. Wailea Beach to the south and Ulua Beach to the north were both nice — Ulua Beach a little less crowded, Wailea Beach was a little better for boogie-boarding and had more turtles while we were there. At night, the family loved going to the large game room, which had many old-school arcade games, a foosball table, board games, etc. There are movies shown at night in their mini-theater room — that sounded like a nice option, but we never made it over there. Food was quite good but very expensive — I guess it was par for the Wailea area but still a bit shocking when you get the check. The Shops at Wailea are within easy walking distance and provide some good options that are more budget-friendly. In particular, we grabbed breakfast and lunch several times at the Island Gourmet Market, which was good and reasonably priced. We had a standard “garden-view” room, which was a room facing the kids pool that also turned out to have a partial ocean view from the balcony. We weren’t expecting to be able to see the ocean from our room so that was a nice surprise. The room was standard size, but had very comfortable beds, a nice smart TV set up with Netflix, a mini refrigerator, and lots of plugs everywhere for charging phones and iPads and such. Wifi was reliable and fast — covered in the resort fee ($35/night). Room was quiet — we never heard our neighbors and we slept soundly at night. We’d definitely come back here again. Wailea hotels in general are crazy expensive, but when we were researching, the Wailea Beach Resort Marriott prices seemed to be more reasonable than the neighboring hotels like the Grand Wailea, Andaz, Four Seasons, and Fairmont. The only caveat is that there are a lot of kids and families around, so if that bothers you, there might be other choices that might better suit you. However, there is a very nice infinity pool where kids aren’t allowed, which provides a peaceful kid-free oasis.

I booked a 40 person incentive trip at the Wailea Beach Marriott. The attendees have been pleased with their experience and enjoying all the amenities and activities the Resort has to offer. The Resort has undergone a significant renovation and it shows! The service at the Wailea Beach Marriott is quite wonderful! I think the service culture of a hotel starts with the General Manager and this is true for this Resort. The General Manager Angela has set the tone of service with her friendly and approachable demeanor, and the staff I encountered were all helpful, hospitable, professional, personable, and always checking in to see if I needed anything at my desk. My many interactions with the management team and staff have been very positive. Sam in sales to Lanakila in Conference Services to Alejandro in Banquets, Larry, Ed, Amanda in AV, so many to mention, all took such good care of me and the group. A smile and greeting go a long way! The sense of arrival is lovely. Pulling in to the Resort, the beautiful Monkey Pod Trees line the drive to the porte cochere, lit up at night even more lovely. The open air lobby is gorgeous, lots of cozy furniture, and an immediate view of the ocean. If your room is not ready, they have an arrival and departure lounge where you can freshen up and shower if needed, while the bell desk stores your bags. Guest rooms: My room was a partial ocean view on the garden level in building 4. Nice patio, little grassy area, view of the adult pool and the ocean. Rooms feel spacious, dresser storage, ample outlets (love this), and nice lighting options. I know there are plenty of room types and options, all at a different price point. Espresso maker for coffee, refreshed every day. Love the big walk in shower. The resort: very walkable, feels spacious yet compact. The 5 pool areas are spread out enough and each one has its own personality, which makes this resort perfect for so many folks. There were plenty of families, groups, and couples alike. Adult infinity pool is by far my favorite! Gorgeous unobstructed sunset view. There are cabanas for rent at 3 of the pools. There is the Ohi pool/hot tub area for all to enjoy, and a restaurant right there. The kids pool has two big slides and a kids area, looks like lots of fun. There are a couple of smaller pools tucked in. The Ulua beach near Andaz and the beach in front of neighboring Grand Wailea are an easy .25 mile walk from the main building of the hotel. Closer if you are staying on either side of the main building. There is a paved walkway that runs about a 3 mile length between the Andaz property, past the Marriott, and then all the way to the Fairmont. Gorgeous views of the water on the path and lovely foliage along the way. Well utilized throughout the day. Food was wonderful, enjoyed all the seafood and sushi! They have a number of restaurant outlet options for food throughout the day. There is also a well stocked gift shop/market that I utilized a few times for snacks (cheese/crackers, fruits, nuts, premade sandwiches and salads). Concierge service: These folks at the Concierge desk are so helpful. I had them set up transportation to and from the airport for the group, which worked well. They are a fantastic resource for activities. Very knowledgeable and responsive. Lauren, Ro, and Ulu were all super helpful and friendly! Other fabulous amenities: Spa (various treatment rooms and services), gym, Kids game room (quite large and popular), vendor art fair several days a week set up in the open air corridor, lots of great hang out space all around with contemporary furniture in cool shapes and sizes. The Resort also runs multiple classes and such all part of the resort fee. I do feel like there is significant value for the price, and Maui can get expensive! The shops at Wailea are a short walk from the front of the hotel. Many shopping options and dining options available. All the neighboring hotels have their restaurants too, so there are lots of places to try and never get in the car. Easy drive to all types of activities, restaurants, shops. Overall, so pleased with my experience at the Resort. There are many options on Maui, and I feel this Resor

I had enough Marriott points to book two nights at the Wailea Beach Resort so we made it the grand finale to our Maui vacation. It did not disappoint. The property is beautiful, the rooms are luxurious and the service is top notch. When we arrived we were greeted with a lei and a champagne glass of delicious fruit juice. We took advantage of the adults-only infinity pool and also booked a couple's massage at the on-site spa. It was the perfect ending to a wonderful vacation.

With the remodel a couple of years ago, this property was transformed into a true destination location. The staff is great, the rooms are spacious, and the in-house dining is excellent. A perfect place to rest and relax.

3 years ago we spent our vacation at this property. We were already quite happy with what we got. I could not imagine they would be even better this time. We had a great start with Mei in the check in. Fast, knowledgeable and trying to accommodate my requests. She was able to upgrade our room, really took the time to help us with the upgrade. The rooms are also better than before, definitely the remodeling was good. Another noticeable improvement was the speed they took care of any requests. We asked for an extra sheet and in no time they sent someone with it. The other day a glass broke on the floor, again someone was in our room in about 3 minutes or less. It’s pretty common to take longer in bigger properties like the Marriott Wailea for people to come to your room to fix anything. Not at this property. The new water slides are fun. The kids area looks awesome, they had this super professional gentleman, Jay, at the beach helping all the guests with chairs and umbrellas. The kids area with games is great too. All the details were flawless, we were truly impressed and happy with our choice. Definitely they went up a level in their quality, we probably will go again. Thanks for the unforgettable vacation.
