When I come back to Kauai, I will definitely be staying here. I knew it was going to be fabulous as soon as we checked in and the kind employee upgraded our room to an oceanfront room complimentary, which had an absolutely GORGEOUS view. Awesome location, great food, amazing views, very fun snorkeling location, and kind service. Also, free guest parking. Coming here straight from the Sheraton Maui Resort, I was incredibly pleased and relieved to have a much better experience.

Sheraton Coconut Beach resort is located right on the beach. Upon arrival, Jackie at the reception desk warmly greeted us, was very friendly and helpful. The rooms and the food at the resort restaurants was great ! Easy walking distance to shopping and restaurants. The pool and jacuzzi have been recently remodeled and very nice. We will be back on our next trip to Kauai.

As a Sheraton property faithful it pains me to write this review. Our experience, on our 5 year wedding anniversary none the less, was the worst customer service I have ever experienced at a hotel. When booking the hotel property, we noted to use our earned suite upgrades. Upon arrival, we were told that this resort property does not acknowledge any of the Bonvoy upgrade requests, and that we were being put in a basic room. While it is understandable that sometimes upgrades are not available and are certainly not guaranteed, the lack of information on the Bonvoy website, informing customers that this option is not applied to the property is ridiculous. Additionally, the staff could not have cared less that we were frustrated, and hoping to make our trip special. They were short tempered, condescending and frankly rude. When we arrived to our room it was disgusting. Dusty, dark and the worse part, moldy. The smell was awful. Having been told numerous times there were no other rooms available during the upgrade conversation, we immediately called Bonvoy and moved to another hotel. This property is, for lack of a better term, embarrassing. DO NOT STAY THERE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE. It is not worth the money or points. There are plenty of other options.

This was our first visit to Kauai. I chose the Sheraton over the Grand Hyatt because of the beach access. Our arrival was confusing because the signage to the resort is difficult to see. Once we got on the proper street it appeared as though there were two resorts each across the street from each other. We pulled into the valet which is across the street from the ocean side of the resort. No Hawaiian greetings, no leis. We checked in and got our keys and the valet attendant told us to just park on the side of our building because it was much closer than the valet. The best part of the room (3rd floor Ocean wing) was the view. The rest was mediocre, although the bed was comfortable. Toiletries were small and never refreshed, bathroom was old and the counter was way too small. The one time we visited the concierge we were given a sales pitch about the timeshare. I thought we were staying at a hotel, but it didn’t feel that way. Since the “hotel” part was across the street there was no interaction with any hotel staff. My husband and I were both very disappointed in this property and would not stay here again.

Great hotel and a great location. However a number of the buildings with rooms are across the street from the main hotel. Be sure to request a room in the main building. Awesome pool and beach. Seals were in the beach which was cool. Good luau there too.
