Worst hotel in the world.

Kawtar H on Apr 08, 2024

WORST HOTEL IN THE WORLD! If I could give less than 1 star I would have given -100. The worst hotel I stayed in. Very rude staff, very bad service, disgusting rooms, and thiefs. I stayed in this hotel because it was the closest to where I had work, but it was my worst experience. My rooms was smelling weed and cigarettes, and I don’t smoke. When I complained about the smell they wanted to charge me with smoking fees . Ironic. And the staff member who spoke to me was the most disrespectful person I’ve seen in my life.

Great property in downtown NYC

JPNYC_1 (New York City, New York) on Apr 04, 2024

This is a great location in downtown NYC. Close to multiple subway lines and a few blocks from the 9/11 memorial. Lashanda provided wonderful experience upon check in. She has such a lovely, bright personality I felt instantly at ease and welcomed upon arrival when greeted by her at the front desk.

Huge disappointment

ladyw0rsley (warrington) on Apr 02, 2024

The swimming pool is CLOSED. And not going to be reopened. I picked this hotel for the swimming pool as I am here for a week. And even though I have paid for my room I had to pay a further $600 deposit for the facility fee. The lift is very scary and hall are from a horror movie but to be fair even though the furniture is a little dated the room is clean and I have a great view of 9/11 and the Oculus.

Great Customer Service

SABB802 (Alexandria, Virginia) on Mar 13, 2024

I stay here each time I can when visiting NYC for work, The hotel is in a great location and the staff are very professional. The Executive Lounge is worth coming for! The food they put out for breakfast and dinner is amazing. I don't need dinner after eating in the lounge. The two women staffing the Exec Lounge are amazing. They are so friendly and ask if they can help in any way. I have never had anyone staffing an Exec Lounge be so friendly! Would definitely recommend staying here!

Rude staff & hidden fee

Andrew L on Feb 06, 2024

Booked my reservation through my employers online booking agency. There was no reference to the bogus “destination charge” while booking. Checked-in and was told about the $75 fee for the first time. I kindly explained that I will not be using any of the services like the bike they provide for use in downtown Manhattan. Instead of accommodating me, the front desk was extremely rude and essentially told me I was dumb. I have status with Marriott and frequently pay the destination fee, especially when I’m traveling for personal reasons and when I know in advance there is a fee associated with the stay. This place really rubbed me the wrong way. Rude staff at the front desk.
