Overall it was average. Not bad but not good. The good: - the rooms in the Greek area are nice and large. Beds are hard but if you are tired it won’t matter. - the beach is small it in early September the place is not full so your not worried about space to get a chair. - crapes stand. On demand made to order crapes. The average: The food. Overall not impressed at all. Multiple claims of 5 star chiefs and food plates but it was a miss at all of them for me. Food would be over cooked or under cooked the majority of the time - water sports. Free but limited on items. 3 paddle boards, one slow banana boat, and two canoes. - the staff is lazy. The don’t want to do anything above what is right in front of them. You ask them for a cherry for your drink they say we are out. They also like to watch you a lot. As if they never seen someone like you before. The very bad: - steps for days. To get to the beach it is at least 4 stories of steps down. You can try the elevator but staff again is lazy and pack into them. - concierge lounge. A small hole where the resort staff hide in to stay cool. Not like any hotel or resort concierge lounges I have ever been to. Limited food if any at all during the day and more of a staff hang out. DO NOT WASTE MONEY ON THIS OPTION. - bars don’t open until 10am. So your in the pool or at the beach and can’t even get a water until the bar opens. - no room service!!!!

My husband and our 3 kids (ages 6-8 yrs) stayed for 5 nights. Our experience during our stay below: The positive: *Beautiful grounds-well landscaped and maintained *Great pool and pool kid area *Nice, spacious room Room for improvement; not too impressed with: *Lack of music playing in pool areas. Only sometimes *Staff/service was hit or miss as far as helpfulness, enthusiasm, friendliness. We felt they were often 'going through the motions' of their job. However, some of the staff were very nice and enthusiastic but it was pretty inconsistent. *Beds were uncomfortable incl. bedding linens *No pool side tables to put drinks and food on *No poolside servers (maybe there was, for an additional charge) *No bar food or bar drink menu-frozen, slushy type drinks. Feel for what you pay you should be able to get a drink that's not artificially flavored and colored ice with a shot of alcohol thrown on top. There should also be a poolside menu food menu for snacks/apps. Otherwise you go to one of the restaurants or buffet to get food. *Refrain if at all to do building maintenance-painting and repairs to the less busy hours-late evening. All in all, it was ok; we enjoyed ourselves. Our kids had a great time and really enjoyed the pool probably more than anything. We'll probably try another family-friendly resort (but probably not all-inclusive) next time.

The service was amazing and the food was exquisite. The room was always cleaned properly and the beds were kept very clean. I appreciated that every worker always took the extra mile to make sure we had everything we needed. We plan to come back next year and enjoy our trip like the last.

    Outstanding Choice for Vacation!

By far the staff and service are this property's best assets. The food and accommodations were very nice - pleased everyone from young to Grandma. The manager, Mr. Kerr, should be very proud of his outstanding team. Jobial in the Front Office, Alex in the Aquatic Center, and Sheldon the Dive Boat Captain. Sheldon assisted my 81 year old mother with the snorkeling - even held her hand and guided her through the 50 minute dive! She had never done anything like that before and loved every minute! My husband lost his expensive sunglasses on the Banana Boat ride (should not have had them on I know) out in the sea when we fell off. After we had been returned to the beach, Alex went back out and found them 10 feet down under water where we had fell in - who does that? Alex does! If you have a young family and are thinking of going to Disney, go to this place instead. It is in all inclusive - and really only a few things are additional. The Sesame Street characters were around with the children putting on shows in one area - very good ones, the tweens were in the slide/pool area, and they have an XBox lounge and special bar for the teenagers (non-alcoholic). The beach is fantastic and they have an area protected for the little ones. We will definitely be going back with our grandchildren. No one in our entire family had ever done anything like Beaches/Sandals before. We are sold and will definitely be back. Our son was married at the Sandals Royal Plantation near by, but we stayed at the Beaches. There is a conflict with this so do not believe there is no cost to go to Royal Plantation as it costs you $120.00/day pass to go there with permission. Apparently, there are less conflicts between the Sandals Ochi and Beaches. However, everything else was fantastic and the Beaches Resort was our favorite.

If you're looking for a low key, high quality, all-inclusive resort, look no further. The staff couldn't be more kind and accommodating. Food and drink is always available. Activities and water parks for children are abundant. And, of course, the clean blue Caribbean, with glass bottomed boats and free snorkeling expeditions and sailing and kayaking is always available.
