We’ve been to Disney quite a bit in the past but this was our first “just us” family trip. Family of 4 which includes kids 10 and 3. We did not book preferred but tried to upgrade upon arrival. All rooms booked. Desk clerk still got us a great room super close to the dining hall/transportation. Had issues with magic bands and again desk staff super helpful and friendly. We opted out of house keeping for the gift card option they give instead but when I called down for towels service was friendly and quick! Resort is super kid friendly and on a budget still a great part of the Disney experience. Will definitely book again!

Just got back from a 2 week stay at Disney’s All Star Sports Resort. We had a great time at Walt Disney World. This was our 4th trip, and our first time staying at a Value resort as this time the whole family came and it was more in our budget. My partner and I have previously stayed at Animal Kingdom Lodge, Coronado Springs and Caribbean Beach. There was nothing massively unpleasant about All Star Sports, it’s just different to what we have experienced previously. The rooms were tidy and the grounds/theme of the resort is well maintained. All cast members were friendly. I missed the little things compared to a moderate/deluxe such as two wash areas (sinks) and more storage space in the rooms. But it was still okay. The food court was good with lots of variety for everyone. The pools were also enjoyable. However, I did miss there being a 24 hour pool like we have had at other Disney resorts. The biggest issue we had was the bugs/flies (I think they call them love bugs) that swarmed the Disney bus waiting area. They are attracted to metal and the bus queue lines are made with metal chains. Every day waiting for a Disney bus we were swarmed, crawling all over our arms, faces and legs. It was very unpleasant. Not sure what Disney can do about this apart from get rid of the metal in the area. I’ve not encountered this at any other Disney resort we have stayed at. Overall, it was a great stay. For a family trip it was more than fine for everyone. However next time when it’s just the two of us we will most likely return to stay at a moderate or a deluxe resort.

We stayed at Disney's All-Star Sports Resort for 4 nights while visiting Disney and had a great time. The hotel is very cute with giant football field, baseball themed swimming pool and the buildings all representing different sports. The rooms were fine - very clean with a bit of outdated decor but suited our need perfectly. The cafeteria was decent - inflated prices of course but there was always something for everyone in the morning for breakfast. The only flaw is that the restaurant doesn't open early enough when there are Extra Magic Hours, a perk of staying on Disney property. We found this very odd that Disney would offer this as a perk but then not offer guests to eat earlier either. The staff were very accommodating and always offered to go the extra mile. Overall, we had a great stay.

Basic but worth it for the transportation

A basic resort but worth it if only for the transport to and from the parks. We stayed outside resort after 3 days here and getting to the parks was a nightmare. The kids will make good use of the free refill mugs we found them good value. There is only one choice for dining so the food court was it.

Worth it for the Disney magic!

We’d originally booked to stay at a resort on I Drive but changed when there was an offer on Disney hotels so all star sports worked out at about the same price. The resort itself is great, 2 pools and a cafeteria quick service. The transportation to and from the parks is brilliant, as are all the cast members. Special shoutout to Adam who helped us out on more than one occasion. The rooms are very dated and I know they’re due for refurbishment in the next year or so. They definitely need it. We had a corner room and it was so noisy. Could hear toilets in the same block flushing at night. Everytime people in the next room left or came back to their room, the door to our room would make a noise from the force of their door shutting. Also, the plug outlet nearest to the door, kept making a crackling noise at night when there was nothing plugged into it. We opted out of mousekeeping and got a $130 gift card which we used for 2 spirit jerseys. With opting out, you’ll still get someone coming to check on the room for security reasons. We got back from a day at universal to find the curtain and netting wide open and the lights on and everyone could see into our room. A bit annoying but it was only one time. I think if I was to visit Orlando again, I’d spend a little extra for a moderate resort or stay in one of Universal’s new hotels as they’re a similar price to this but much, much newer.
