    Thin walls, bad plumbing, hidden fees

    There’s a paper thin door in every room that connects you to the room next to you, you can hear a pin drop from the other side, the balconies are also connected we had a very loud family next to us and their children were constantly on our balcony and it didn’t feel safe to leave your baclony door unlocked or leave any belongs out there to dry. Our party booked 3 different rooms each room had different plumbing problems, one of the bathroom sinks backed up a disgusting substance due to their neighbors, and 2 other rooms had putrid sewage smell that came out of the bathroom drains, even after we asked for drain covers the smell was there. Then they charge you an excessive money- exchange rate fee that added up so much higher than the banks and going exchange rates, it equaled $160 in excess but only charged it after checkout and give you excuses about who to contact in reservations about the fee. It’s a busy resort. LOTS of children. Decent food, the on resort restaurants were nothing special though. Also some resorts will let you eat lunch after check out while you’re waiting for your flight or taxi- not this resort. We stayed 20 min after we had checked out waiting for our Uber and the staff members asked when we were planning on leaving. I’m sure they would have liked to charge for the 20 min we sat by the pool.

    We were only there one night and I didn’t pay for the room, Delta Airlines did because our plane broke down. I am not writing this to get a refund, just to be honest. The positive is the staff were all friendly and helpful. Covid precautions were being taken, other than they were pretty booked. It seemed crowded. It is an older place that has been updated. Upon first arriving, I thought the room was pretty clean but we had a big dead cockroach in our room. My boys killed a smaller cockroach in their room. There was a lot of noise. It was crowded and you had to wait in lines to get into the buffet. The food was not the best either. The worst part is that my husband and I were bit by bed bugs. We didn’t realize until after we left. I haven’t experienced this before. Use caution if you stay here.

    Since we arrived we had a great welcome and support , excellent distribution nice and clean rooms and restrooms, the buffet with several and delicious options, the pools safe, clean and very safe , the beach space and night dace time unforgettable. Sure we will be back

    We were at Friendly Vallarta in Puerto Vallarta 12/ 2 /2020 through 12/ 9/2020.  When we arrived at the Resort , they took our temperature, & sprayed our bags down with disinfectant. Then we had to walk through a booth to get disinfected. Whenever we went in for a meal they took our temperature and gave us hand sanitizer . We were required to wear our masks until we were seated, & when we went up to the buffet. The buffet was covered with plexiglass, you had to point at what you wanted, they would put it on a plate & hand it to you. If you wanted an omelette you had to order it from the server and they would bring it out . The staff wore masks & we were required to ware masks while in the building. The first day went really well, l felt safe.  Then  a couple  of buses full of young people arrived , & filled the pool's & restaurants, along with young people from the MIO hotel. The  pools were full with young people drinking leaving there glasses everywhere, and not socially distancing. They would set in the pool and the hot tub all day without ever getting out, the waiters would just bring them drink after drink. We were not required to wear our masks around the pool or on the beach. The staff was really nice and took care of us, but the kids we're really bad. They kept us up till 2 and 3 in the morning. The one night about 1 we were woke up by 3 young people (drunk) pounding on our door. Obviously they couldn't find their rooms. The one girl was crying and they were really loud. We have been there before in December. And they brought in large groups of young people by bus. It had never been this bad before. We will not be going back.     we loved it! we had our wedding with some of our closest friends and family and it was great! The service at all times was outstanding and we got great comments from our guests as well. its a really private hotel and that makes it really confortable!
