I'll start by saying this was my first time in the Dominican so I have nothing else to compare it to. My last all inclusive was to Cuba and I do see the significant upgrade on the resorts + food when visiting DR. However, for the money we paid at this hotel it just wasn't worth it. We did upgrade when we got to the hotel and paid about 500$ more to get an ocean view room which I think saved our vacation. Pros: The ocean view room was very clean and looked new. The bed was surprisingly very comfortable and the large soaker tub was lovely. The food at the buffet was good and the a la carte restaurants were (for the most part) a nice change of scenery and the food was good - especially at the Brazilian restaurant! Our servers (for the most part as well) were friendly and nice to talk to. The pool near buildings 14 + 15 was a nice discovery for us on day 3 because it had almost no one there (meaning we didn't have to get up at 730 to reserve chairs) and a wonderful bartending staff. It was much quieter and we spent most of our vacation there. Cons: The shower leaked all over the floor. My husband had to jam towels everywhere to prevent this from happening. There was a very intense and weird smell coming from the halls and our room had an older musty smell to it. We were in building 4 and because of the way it was set up in the open hall we could hear people yelling and slamming their doors very clearly (highly recommend keeping your AC running to drown out the noise). The property was also very disappointing. While it was well maintained it was much smaller than other resorts we've visited and at night you didn't really have the option of wandering around anywhere. The lobby was also very underwhelming. It was also very annoying to be limited in where you could go, drink, eat etc because of all the VIP areas and stipulations. The beach & pool: The main pool was very busy and very loud and very shallow. As I mentioned above - if you want to swim and relax by the pool go to the MUCH quieter one near building 14 & 15. I was pretty disappointed in the beach. I saw a lot of comments about it not being turquoise waters which was fine by me - it was wavier on that beach so I understand the sand not settling & they did a great job of clearing the seaweed. However the marina right next door was very disruptive with the constant smell of boat fuel + party boats coming and going with blaring music. We were very happy we did the 4 Playas excursion with Sunwing - they brought us to stunning beaches on Saona Island so that made up for it! As for the sellers around the beach - if you take a spot a bit further back (closer to the buildings and not right up on the beach) they tend to not walk in that area. We weren't bothered at all when we sat there. The day we sat right on the beach we were disrupted every 5-10 minutes. It was terrible. People yelling at you and even when you politely say no they don't leave you alone. The time share people around the resort were annoying as well but we just ignored them and walked by. They left you alone for the most part. I was surprised they allowed so many of these people to disrupt guests all over the resort. My biggest complaint came on our last night when the resort held a beach DJ party right on the beach outside our building. From 9pm-midnight there was blaring music and a DJ screaming into the mic. We closed our doors + turned on the AC and we could still hear it as if it was in our room. The bass was shaking our bed. We called down to complain and they said it would be going until midnight. There should be a designated area in the hotel for this. Somewhere that doesn't disrupt the guests who don't want to stay up until midnight listening to club music. All in all I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone. There was a few nice parts and we did manage to relax but we won't be staying here again.

Well we have been to Punta Cana many times. This trip really did it for us this time due to the harassing Sellers for LifeStyle VIP Collections! Everywhere you turn they are there, waiting outside the buffet restaurant, in the lobby, on the paths towards your room. Its frustrating . If we want to be VIP memebers we would do it on our own, so STOP harassing your guests!!! I remebered in Puerto Plata we stayed at a Lifestyle collection chain and it was the same thing. Unfortuneately for us i forgot when i booked this trip. Also the vendors you let on your site to sell to guests are very annoying. You say no thank you and then they make a comment like we are cheap! Sorry but i don’t need a straw hat, a bead bracelet , or anything else . If i did i would go to the store. This is NOT a 5 star hotel , 4 the most! Reason the food and beverages. The pasta station should be able to cook pasta the way you want it not for the cook to make 4 choices . Please no corn with a dry white pasta. Also your burgers are not cooked! NO PINK meat please! When asking the cook to put back on grill they make a face, like what do you want. Hardly any fish ever! Paella everday day on buffet...why? Can’t you prepare some shrimp, salmon on the buffet or even tuna???? The pork and beef were so tough , was bad. Lots of desserts which were nicely presented. The strawberry daiquiri machine was never frozen, you should have blenders like other hotels that they actually make your drinks . Also the reception desk never had any change . This is the first hotel that could never give you change for US dollars. Yes there was a small currency booth but she only had pesos and you loose money again. They say go to the casino , i did and asked for chnage for $20, which she said she could only give me 5 $1 bills. Thats just ridiculous. Well no change = no tip! Sorry! Now for the rest : I admit the premises were very clean, weither indoors or out. Also the entertainment crew were fun. The waiter Augustin in the am and Nicole and Yessica in the pm at the buffet were super nice. Also Hector who was doing his training was really nice. I work in the hotel industry for 30 yrs and even though our standards are extremely higher than yours you still must follow through with guest requests and comfortabilty. For us the DR and PC are on a huge break ! We will not be travelling there for a long time and nor will family and friends for they too are fed up of the vendors and some hotel nonsense. So to you all thinking of travelling i suggest not at LIFESTYLE COLLECTIONS hotels inless you want to constantly be asked amd stopped for VIP memberships. Its all up to you now!

Travelled with a friend February 11 to 18, we booked regular section (not adult only or VIP). Our room Was located in building 5, very large and we had two 4 poster beds. The shower was recently renovated but the rest of the room is quite old...needs major renovation, the walls and baseboards have been painted over and over...No issues with hot water or a/c. The buffet and à la carte restaurants were very good (Japanese, Brazilian and Mexican) and there is a hamburger and pizza restaurant close to the beach and it is also very good . You have to pay for in room safe; 3$us/day. The beach is ok, the water is not clear but almost no weeds, they are picked up whenever they come to shore. There are NO waiters at the beach to bring you drinks, you have to get your own and they don’t have any garnishes for the drinks (lemon, pineapple, cherries, mint, etc.). The washrooms are located in the pool area which is not close to the beach. The bar at the sitting area is open till 11pm. Even there, they serve you in plastic disposable glasses and no garnishes, the drinks are low quality, pina coladas are only slush, margaritas are watered down. VIP people are served in glass glassware at the bar next to this one and have higher quality drinks. Beware of the men dressed in a beige shirt and panama style hat. They are luring you to the people selling timeshares (Lifestyle Holidays) even though you tell them that you are not interested in time share. The vendors at the beach are VERY annoying, they bother everyone even if you tell them no gracias, it’s borderline harassment. They sell gifts, excursions, massage, braids etc. I’ve been to many resorts in P.C. and I was never annoyed by vendors this way! Went to the spa for a massage. You can use their facilities all day, the day of your service before and after (pool, hot tubs). You can even leave to eat and return after. The area is quiet, they have nice lounge chairs in the pool, sun beds and chairs. We did not attend any shows although they are apparently very good. Playa Bavaro is way nicer than playa Cabezas del toro. If it’s your first time in Punta Cana, don’t book this resort, it will give you a negative impression of Punta Cana....Punta Cana is a very nice country to visit.

Our room was on the first floor ocean view with a gorgeous view! The room was very clean and was supplied with with shaving kits, dental kits, lotion and plenty of body was in the shower. However, there was no hair conditioner. I have to mention 2 people that were stand out employees and helped make the trip amazing. Carlos Reyes-Munoz was our usual server at most meals and I can't say enough good things about him. Always made sure we had everything we need and made sure we were comfortable. Also, Guillermo Antonio Pena. Guillermo wants everyone to be happy and goes out of his way to make that happen. Both of these men deserve the highest praise for their work ethic and their desire to make guests happy. It was a pleasure seeing and talking with them every day.
