A nice family vacation

Milan J on Apr 18, 2024

Animation is very good, shows are entertaining, and Gasolina was very helpful the whole stay. Food was excellent, rooms nice and tidy, staff is very friendly. Beaches are amazing, the sand is spectacular. 10/10, definitely coming back soon.

Great resort for a group of 5 young women

lee l (Mississauga, Canada) on Apr 16, 2024

This is one of the best resorts I've been to! I went with a group of 5 altogether and we all really enjoyed our stay. The rooms had AC (sometimes causing your throat to be sore though in the morning, but it is like that at all places), a very nice bathroom, decent beds, a good amount of storage, a safe which we used for valuables, a very nice mirror facing the bedroom, and a gorgeous balcony. Our room was close to the beach which was nice and didn't mind the walk to other places on the resort as the gardeners work hard to make it a beautiful resort. The staff were very friendly (at times a little too much lol!) and when our friends had issues with their room it was easily fixed. They were first placed near the lobby and found it very loud but the next day the staff fixed this issue and were then placed in the same building as us. I personally enjoyed the food and loved to try new things, the fruits were my favourite, you just have to try fruits in a tropical place, I miss it already... The staff at the buffet were kind and attentive, always filling your drinks and such. There were multiple ages at this resort, we were younger (19-20s) and easily made other friends in this age range. The disco was fun but often repetitive with their music, a Latin-type music night and then an H&M/Urban Planet-type music night. We tried many beverages at the bars and enjoyed most of them, can't go wrong with beer though. Sometimes they said they didn't have a blender to make slushy drinks but more than often they did make it. A tip-ask them to make a surprise and they will most likely create your favourite drink for the trip, we did this many times and it was never a miss. The lobby bar would get very busy in the evenings but that was the only one open so makes sense. As Canadian University girls we were very pleased to find coors cold shots or mini beers in our fridge and often asked the maids to put more in our fridge which they did. They were so nice to us, saying good morning and hello every day. All other staff would do the same but it was funny because sometimes when the male staff would do it, they would then strike up conversations afterwords and flirt but it lowkey made our day. The entertainment was fun loved this one show we saw it was couples on stage doing the balloon popping, a good laugh. Another one was the white party at the beach and they were having a limbo competition. Many events by the lobby too! One day we decided to get up early and watch the sunrise, I highly recommend. The pier was nice as well. On the beach they have many individuals coming up to us selling souvenirs and asking us about excursions, it's overwhelming sometimes but they do take no for an answer. We also decided to take a walk all the way to the shop/mall thing to the right of the resort, it's a very long walk but was something to experience and we felt safe. When you leave the resort from the beach, security asks for your room number. Back to the rooms, I don't think they change the bed linen just fix it because we often felt sand at our feet. We tried 2 restaurants, the Mexican one and the Japanese one it wasn't an issue getting a reservation. The Japanese one was very entertaining the chef was funny. There are 2 buffets I think though one by lobby and the other by the pool both serving similar food. There is also a snack bar which had pizza and hot dogs, it was by the beach. The bathrooms on the resort were clean. Overall, a welcoming, entertaining, and pleasant resort and would very much recommend.

Higher Expectations

Getaway374685 on Apr 10, 2024

My family and I recently stayed at the Impressive Premium Punta Cana, booked through Costco Travel. Although we had a good trip, there were things missing or areas of improvement that we felt could have made our experience a great one. Arrival in Punta Cana Upon landing in Punta Cana, Destination Services transportation company approached us fairly quickly and we were driven to the resort. We were dropped off at the non-premium entry point, but the staff promptly transferred us via golf cart to the correct side. First Impressions We were each given fresh watermelon juice drinks which were tasty. The check-in process was quick and easy. My husband, daughter, and I got our wristbands which were informed that if they were missing would cost us $300. The Open Sea buffet was our first stop since our room was not ready. While there was a wide variety of food, the quality of it was not impressive contrary to what I expected due to their hotel name. Bland flavors seemed to dominate the offerings. We tried to make dinner reservations at the Japanese restaurant, but it was fully booked for the night. In fact, reservations were unavailable for our entire stay, which was a huge disappointment. One of the reasons we had paid extra money for the Impressive Punta Cana was for the upgraded views and amenities. Unimpressive Room We had the upgraded beach view room with two double beds. The view of the beach, though visible was definitely not what we were hoping for as our room faced another building and the beach was off at an angle. The room was clean, with a stocked mini bar complete with water, soda, beer and champagne. The bathroom had a nice sized jacuzzi tub and shower complete with a rain style shower head. The beds were fairly comfortable but the pillows were too thick resulting in both our daughter and I resorting to utilizing the decorative pillows to sleep to prevent neck pains in the morning. My husband was okay with the thick pillows as he is a side sleeper and utilizes a thick pillow regularly. The A/C was regularly set at the lowest setting of 15°C but at night felt much warmer resulting in blanket and sheet having to be removed. Culinary Adventures We ended up trying other dining options. The Italian Restaurant was available, but the portions were disappointingly small (with an emphasis on the chicken inside the chicken waffle sandwich entree and the fish for the fish and chips entree), and the flavors were plain (that was the theme for our food during our stay). We were able to try the Olive Tree Restaurant which required reservations. The food was again bland but the desert (chocolate cake and apple pie) was the best desert tried. The other two buffets continued the theme of lackluster taste. On the other hand, there are several bars around the resort, and the service was fast and friendly. Watered-Down Drinks and a Lemonade Delight One of the things we noticed was that the drinks were watered down compared to what we were used to in the United States. The alcohol variety was definitely not premium as their hotel name implies and flavor seemed to be off compared to what we were used to. However, our daughter found comfort in their lemonade juice, which became her go-to refreshment. Final Verdict Overall, our experience at the Impressive Premium Punta Cana was mediocre. For the amount of money spent on our trip, I felt that there could have been better quality food and drinks as well as more availability for the dining options. The staff was friendly and attentive was helped.

This place is a definite repeat for my husband and I!

First of all, I cannot say enough about this resort, what makes it super fun and special is is a guy named Cappacino and there’s a girl name Raisa that truly make your stay exceptional! Super personal, super fun, hard workers with fantastic personalities. And it also doesn’t help that they’re both easy on the eyes! But seriously if you are here look for cappuccino and Raisa in the entertainment jobs. Impressive got it right by hiring these guys! We enjoyed the food as well and the à la cart. The only one we did not like was the olive tree, Mediterranean. But we certainly enjoyed all of the à la cards again I cannot say enough about Cappacino and Risa 10 stars.??
