This was our 9th visit to the Grand Palladium and yet again we had a wonderful stay. We had a little issue on arrival but we managed to get this sorted out straight away. Everything about this place is awesome from the choice of restaurants, variety of food and the wonderful staff. Want to give a massive shout out to Alfredo in Bar Azul, Ricardo in Kantenah, Fredy in Colonial and Antonio in the sports bar.... these guys looked after us and kept us topped up in tequila the whole time. A special shout out also to Sarahi in TRS who made us feel special on every occasion and looked after us and our parents every evening!! Will I be back? Well I would love to say yes..... any special offers Grand Palladium for our 10th visit?!?

Visited with with and 12/ 6 year old children. Good points Beautiful hotel in a natural environment. Great beach and pool. Plenty of bars serving quality drinks and well make cocktails. Interesting wildlife-agouti, monkeys as well as 2 flamingo lakes, fish in abundance and a crocodile enclousre. Outstanding staff. They couldn't have been more polite and helpful. Plenty of sunbeds on around pool and beach. With a family of 4, it didn't matter when we arrived, we found sunbeds with a mixture of sun and shade together. Loads of restaurants to choose from. Our favourites were the tappanyaki and teak restaurants. Only once did we have to wait more then 15mins for a table. The buffet restaurants are also available and are excellent for breakfast and lunch. There are 2 in the hotel, one by the pool and one on the beach. All inclusive mini bar. It's a small thing but I hate all inclusive hotels that charge for using the mini bar in your room. It was well stocked and always filled up. Activites-not stop if you want. There are the usual fitness and yoga classes as well as paddle boards, kayaks and wind surf boards included. There are also surf and sailing lessons available. The sea. OMG it was so warm and shallow enough for even nervous swimmers. Very little seaweed this year but bring reef shoes as there is a small reef to walk across when getting in the water. Evening shows are of a high standard performed by professionals. Bad point Only one issue. The food in the al la Carte restaurants was generally not hot. This a real shame as the quality was decent but how hard is it to serve hot food! To an extent, this spoilt the evening meals as the restaurants were beautiful as was the service. If they get this right, this would be one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. I would love to score this hotel 5/5 but can't until the food temperature is sorted out.

Excellent Place - go and enjoy!

We had a fantastic holiday, enjoyed the holiday immensely and very likely to return. Overall a great stay you can do as much or as little as you want. We stayed at the Kentanah side of the hotel. The room I would say was 4* not 5, whilst very clean we got 2 double beds, fairly spacious for myself, husband, 4 & 5 year old girls. The linen looked a bit grey and there was only 1 pillow each. There was a free to use safe in the room, toiletries, TV, plenty of hanging space, small chair & table, coffee maker and mini bar stocked daily with bottled water, pop and beers. As the hotel is set in jungle there is not much outlook from the balcony. I would really like to say a huge thank you to the Children's club team - my girls went everyday, and the team were brilliant, especially with our 4 year old, she got very nervous on stage but the team helped her through it to complete the performance, something she has never done before. The staff there are very kind & caring, and my girls enjoyed all the varied activities. Thank you to Brenda, Tanya, Yesenia, Diana, Kassandra, Arradra, Lorissa, Mayou, Daniela and Igor. You made our holiday extra special! We all enjoyed the Halloween and day of the dead activities too. Fab night! We also visited the Spa, that was fabulous too, great massage, and the spa area was so relaxing. We felt very refreshed and relaxed afterwards. We loved all the extra little touches such as the fish food so you can feed the Koi around the hotel. Everywhere you go you are greeted by a smiling face and made to feel welcome. There is some great wildlife there to, always fun to spot. My only very minor criticisms were in the show restaurants there was sometimes a long wait to get drinks that had been ordered, and when asking for extra cutlery (if tables weren't 100% set up when shown to the tables). The other issue was at the beach snack bar, there was often not enough plates and cups, and there was no cutlery to be seen! Its a shame as the view there is so good. It seems there should be more self-serve items in terms of getting cutlery etc yourself, or more staff to serve. Also around the main pool of the Colonial/Kentanah the music levels were messy - there would be a live band at the beach bar and music on the speakers by the pool so you couldn't really enjoy either. There is not much choice of classic childrens food, we have a fussy eater - but managed to get by with chips, bread etc. We visited end of October, and there was an occasional rain shower - the type where it falls out of the sky at speed then dries up just as fast. No one was bothered by the rain at all. We are planning to return next year (with more research on preventing mosquito bites!

Basic english should be learned, waiting for a cart to take you places was ridiculous. Lining up to be seated to eat everywhere was painful.(40 mins one evening, even after calling 3 times). Overall this place was not for me. Had a terrible time

We are here on our honeymoon, it is a beautiful resort, very large and luxurious. Our suite is cleaned daily and mini bar stocked up. 12 a la carte restaurants of outstanding quality, buffet restaurants and many bars. Large complex of three hotels, many pools. Overall a great complex, amazing service and staff. We went twice to Mexican, Italian and Steak house. We also loved Ribs and More and La Lola (Spanish) where you can choose 4 tapas each, we loved prawns, chicken and octopus. La Lola had amazing starters. 1km long white sandy beach, never crowded. With hammocks and no seaweed. I am a beach lover so it is a paradise. We have been to Mexico before but Riviera Maya is the best! Great evening performances- they own artists. Chic cabaret is extra cost and out of this world. Sports bar for sport fans - watching rugby right now .
