Awful hotel - never to return

We stayed here at the start of March and I’ve never had to write a bad review before. I’ve spoken to the hotel over and over to try and avoid this and to come to some agreement but they just don’t want to know. We had a 26 hour delay on the flight and arrived exhausted and tired with a young baby. We just wanted to go to bed. Half way through the night I thought that’s odd the bed is wet and didn’t think much of it, my husband said the same thing the next morning so we asked for the bedding to be changed that day as bedding damp. I had a thermometer for our baby and the humidity for the 8 days was over 80 inside and outside the room! A decent air conditioning unit and / or a dehumidifier would have sorted this issue. We did everything they said, door shut air con on, we tried air con off for a few hours, on off - it didn’t matter and by day two our clothes were wet and smelt damp, it was awful. I said something to the hotel every day and asked for bedding to be changed every day. One night at 10pm the bedding was wet and I messaged on the chat stating we would sort in the morning as the baby was sleeping, next minute Violeta is banging on the door three times waking the baby up! I tried to speak to people on the hotel but higher up management are so rude and quite frankly do not go a monkeys if we are happy are not. If they take your money it’s the only time they are happy. There is no the customer is right - they are right apparently end of story! On the Friday (we had two days left) they offered another room, everything was wet at this point, we were fully unpacked and the other room didn’t feel much better. You had to blackmail the pool guys to get a bed by tipping them every day as 90% of the beds are reserved for palace residents and people that had long term stays. We only got booked into any of the restaurants by me emailing our travel agent to complain as no one else once again were bothered! The manager in the Thai restaurant was so arrogant it hurts, the stone for the wagu beef went cold so he told us the waitress would have it taken from her wages - what a joke - we gave her the money to pay as she was lovely. The lower end staff (non managers or customer relations) were lovely and helpful. The higher up staff are a total joke! We spent A LOT of our hard earned money on this trip and it was the worst holiday I’ve ever had. I’ve tried hard to sort this with David the manager but I just keep getting told it’s humid outside, air con works (yes to an extent but it needs to be better if it’s that humid) basically it isn’t our fault. No one else had a problem just us. They will reply saying they offered us another room, they looked at air con, blah blah but they didn’t help and not interested in helping. Just point proves all the time that no one else has this problem and it’s just us. I have asthma and have been ill with two lots of antibiotics since returning from this hotel, due to the wet cold bedding. So disappointed, we love a holiday and we were so excited to go but I’ve never wanted to come home so much. Also sad they would offer no form of compensation, I’ve been emailing since mid March and getting no where. Just get told they won’t change their mind. Avoid this place they treat their staff like slaves. The pool bar staff and restaurant staff were lovely. The managers are a bunch of ******

This was my 4th time at playacar palace. Service was awesome. Eder, Aaron and Marvin took care of everything. Daniella was great at pool Service for cocktails. Charlie in the sales office is kind and considerate. The staff did everything they could to take care of everyone, since it was Easter holiday and very busy.
