    My wife and I had dinner there last night the food was outstanding. One of the entrées I ordered the waiter named Jeff suggested getting a different entrée saying that that entrée may not be a really good choice as an entrée, I took his advice and we got the one dish to share and the salmon as my entrée and it was a great call by Jeff. I really appreciated that he was forthcoming with choice I made not being a great entree. It is not often that we see that kind of customer focus. Thanks

    We stayed at Unico for 4 days, 3 nights at the beginning of April 2021 and let’s just say we’re already planning our return! We had the most amazing experience from start to finish. Netf was our host and he was incredible in every way. Our room was amazing. We stayed in the Alcoba Ocean Front-King and it was an incredible room. Getting our covid test to return to the US was super easy and fast and all the employees wore mask the entire time. The pools and beach were amazing. The food and drinks were incredible!! The BEST food and drinks we’ve ever had at an all inclusive resort by far. The service throughout the resort was top notch. Torres on the beach was gave us amazing drink service. We were and still are in awe of this resort and their employees especially Netf and Torres. We can’t wait to return this summer!!

    Arrival: Checking in takes much longer than needed. Three different people talked with us right when we arrived, one being our assigned host, a man who explained everything very quickly, and another woman who we later found out was a recruiter for the legendary membership (similar to timeshare meetings). We were also charged 20 dollars for “insurance” that was supposed to be included in our 7 day stay per their website. Room/decor: Our room was beautiful as was a lot of the decor throughout the resort. The walls are paper thin in the room and you can hear the movement of the other guests outside of your room and next door. There is very little privacy on the patio. On one of the nights around 3 am there was loud partying. If you do not put your do not disturb on your door people are in and out of your room all day. Legendary People: These people are very aggressive. They scheduled a meeting with them for us the day after arrival that we skipped because we were on vacation. They found us at the pool and scheduled another meeting with us this time offering us a free excursion. We went to the meeting that was supposed to be 1.5 hours (lasted 2.5 hours) and we had to say no 9+ times as they passed us off to four different people. We finally said no we’re done here. They called our room the day after as well to ask us to sign up again! They did follow through on the free excursion but we feel our service at the resort after that changed. At this point 2 days before our scheduled Covid test I told my husband that I guarantee they will say one of us tested positive so that they can try to get more money out of us. COVID: My husband tested positive for Covid 12 minutes after his test they called us while we were in the gym. I asked for the results which took over an hour for them to produce. They asked us if we wanted to pay for the PCR test and we said yes. They told us we could both stay in the room together until our check out time. They came in and tested my husband again in our room. At this point I’m crying to this staunch stone cold claiming to be health coordinator man who doesn’t ask us once if we have symptoms or if they can get us anything. All he said to me is don’t be rash at this time it only appears that your husband has a little bit of the virus so he may still test negative. They never delivered our breakfast. My husband and I spent the entire day in our room googling similar stories and options. The next morning they called us to tell us that his second test was positive and immediately started to talk to me about rates to stay with him. They never produced the result for us. I told them that we wanted to leave as we had friends in the area. They pushed on the rate saying that I had until tomorrow at checkout to decide and got off the phone with me. My husband and I packed our bags quickly and I messaged our host to see if they would call us a taxi or if we would need to find our own to leave. They never told us we couldn’t leave and actually called us a taxi. They also let my supposedly COVID positive husband walk through the resort with me and into the main lobby as we checked out. All they said to us was “hope to see you back.” My husband later tested negative off of the resort. We will never return to Unico. Our honeymoon was cut short and the stay/interactions/service was not worth what we paid. Food/drinks: The food at all the restaurants is pretty good. Our favorite was the Italian restaurant. The in room dining food is okay but always cold by the time it arrives and wait time for in room dining is anywhere from 1-2.5 hours. Drinks are watered down and my husband and I never caught a buzz. On more than one day in a short amount of time we drank at least 10 drinks. If you go, order an extra shot of whatever is in your drink and pour it in yourself... or just take shots.

    We have been to Mexico numerous times and this stay ranked at the top top! Being an all inclusive can mean poor service and subpar food, that is not the case here. These folks have their facility running so smooth. When you check in you are greeted by your own personal concierge. Montse (our concierge) got us connected to be able to message her for anything we might need, scheduled us for our needed Covid test and had us well educated in a non-obtrusive way. She checked in on us regularly. Ulysses and Paul made sure that we had everything we needed pool side, fresh towel, move our umbrella, food, drink, you name it we had it. The rooms we lovely, down to the slippers, robes and straw hats to keep the sun off your face. The restaurants were all very good with exceptional service given by Nicholas at Mi Carsia. The Covid test was so easy, professional and efficient. Bravo Unico team, you guys delivered.

    Combine a beach resort, with a fabulous spa, world class food and cocktails... and you have arrived in UNICO. Contemporary vibes with a completely relaxed atmosphere. The service is wonderful and the staff are delighted to have you visiting. Special thanks to Israel for taking such good care of us and to Raul for crafting the most amazing dinner experiences!
