This was our first visit to Divi Little Bay. Previously we were staying at Simpson Bay. Kevin who works in this resort is the best! So helpful and accommodating. Pools are great! Food is excellent. Beach was always clean and sun umbrellas and chairs were available and clean too. Overall very good experience. Unfortunately, this resort will no longer be available for RCI time share.

Divi was an amazing resort with a great beach and stunning views of the ocean. The staff was very friendly and greeted you with a smile. Our room was a suite, very nicely decorated, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom was updated, bathtub was a nice jet tub jacuzzi. The kitchenette was very modern and perfect for our needs. Right outside of our building was an infinity pool that offered amazing views of beach. Great location near shopping and restaurants. The on-site restaurants offered different cuisines however I found the food to be just okay, it wasn’t bad but doesn’t blow you away. Overall a great property and I highly recommend it for families or couples.

I've never written a negative review on Trip Advisor...until now. There's a first time for everything, so here goes. I will begin by saying the staff we encountered were very nice. No one was rude, and it seemed as though they wanted to be helpful. They just couldn't pull it off. Let's call it hospitable incompetence. Perhaps they are understaffed. Might be a lack of training. Or, could just be poor management. But the result is unacceptable. When we arrived, we were told our room wasn't ready, but it would be a very short wait. Not a huge problem, and we went to the beachside restaurant for a late lunch. After waiting 30 minutes for one of many servers to acknowledge us, we moved to the bar and, after more effort and another 15 minutes we got the attention of a bartender. Our food arrived another 40 minutes after that. Seeing a pattern here? Still after all that time, our room was not available. We waited for another 40 minutes, watching numerous other guests arrive, check-in, and be shuttled off to their rooms. Finally a supervisor was summoned, and after yet another lengthy wait, he "upgraded" us to a one bedroom condo. Not the beachfront experience we booked, but by that time we were happy to leave the lobby. There were maintenance issues with the room, notably the sliding doors wouldn't lock. A makeshift repair was done while we waited, yet again. By the end of the following day, our room had not been cleaned. We called and were assured housekeeping would be sent. Didn't happen. The next morning, I visited the front desk with the same complaint, and again was told it would be taken care of. Didn't happen. More calls and finally our room was granted a visit from housekeeping. I don't know about you, but I don't want to work that hard when on vacation. This is probably not the most expensive hotel on the island, but it's certainly not a bargain. And the fact that they tack on a 25% "service" fee is just absurd. I'd gladly go back to the island, they need and want the business as they continue to recover from Irma. But will find another place to stay.

Can’t get correct rooms for our kids

We are arriving this week and already having major issues. We had a feeling that the guy who made our reservation months ago screwed it up because he sounded confused and kept repeating his questions, didn’t seemed properly trained etc., kept messing up details and even when we received the reservation, our names were all misspelled. So we called this weekend to check on our room arrangements in advance because we just had a bad feeling - and I didn’t want to get there and spend our first day dealing with room issues and standing at checkin for hours (other reviews have indicated this is an issue). We have a family of six and we need our kids’ room to be next to ours. We told this to the guy when we reserved and emphasized how crucial it is. We asked him for advice on the best room arrangements for six. Ends up that he booked our kids on the other side of the resort! That’s not going to work for our minor children! So when we called we said “you need to fix this.” Spent most of Saturday on the phone, being bounced back and forth between corporate and front desk, both telling us the other entity has the authority to change our rooms. Getting terrible recommendations like we need to downgrade our rooms - to smaller rooms and no mention of better pricing! They now are telling us they can only switch our kids from beachfront to a studio but it’s our understanding the studios only have one bed. We need room for four kids - 3 of whom are gangly teenagers. Sleeping on a pullout couch for a week doesn’t seem like a very nice deal - especially for what’s supposed to be a lux vacation - but if it’s what we have to do I guess it’s what we have to do. Where else are our children supposed to sleep? Personally I think they should be upgrading us at no additional cost to compensate for their mistake. This is not giving us confidence that we made the right hotel choice. It’s 24 hours later and we still have NO answer or resolution from the hotel on a room fix for us all. Theresa, a supervisor in reservations said she would call us back yesterday and never did. Paul was friendly but not in a position to help - made the asinine suggestion that we spend MORE money - when we’ve already paid in full - to cover for THEIR MISTAKE. Can anyone reading this tell me a) if studios are spacious enough for 4? Are the pullout couches big enough for two? b) how far apart are the two ends of the resort and c) does it seem like a safe area? Any other room tips that would help us? I’m hoping that management or corporate or whoever has the means to make change fix this situation ASAP without making us take lesser rooms or sleep on couches. If they have to give us three studios to fit everyone they should do that at no extra cost AND make them all next to each other and not at the very end of the property. I hope that the experience on property is much better than this has been. I’d be happy to come back and write a positive review if we get a positive experience but right now I’m just stressed out and that is not what a hard earned vacation is supposed to be about.
