Wonderful experience!!

The well trained, welcoming and polite staff made our stay in this iconic hotel memorable. The suite was beautifully decorated, well equipped and comfy. You have to try the heated indoor/outdoor pool and hot tubs! Will book again for sure.
Whistler's Downton Abbey

Fantastic location, immaculate rooms and public areas, steps away from the ski hills, trails, and an excellent assortment of activities led by Chateau activity guides plus the best outdoor hot tubs , pools and gyms in Whistler. Great food and service by the wonderful staff. We've nicknamed it " Whistler's Downtown Abbey".
Just as good for the second stay!

This was our second stay at this property (our first stay was in summer 2020). We had the same room level as our last stay (8th floor; Fairmont Gold level). The room was clean, spacious and comfortable, with a king bed, desk, sofa and armchair. The closet was large and had plenty of hanging space. The bathroom was modern and well-appointed. The ski valet service was fantastic - grab your skis on the way out and it is steps to the Blackcomb gondola, and give them back at the end of the day. We've enjoyed the ambience of the Mallard Bar and Wildflower restaurant on both our stays, and think the food at Wildflower is delicious. Provincial covid-19 restrictions were imposed for our second day, and all indoor dining and bars were closed. With some trepidation we ordered a room service breakfast (a subset of the Wildflower breakfast menu), and it was delivered exactly on time, and was piping hot (the main reason I hardly ever order room service; I hate lukewarm food). My only minor complaint is, like some other reviewers, I find "resort fees" ridiculous - just build the charge into the room rate. Component style pricing is not customer friendly.
Great staff, ridiculous resort fees

The Chateau Whistler is always a great experience, since being updated the rooms now meet the high standard set by the property’s common areas and staff. The only disappointment is the Fairmont continuing to charge resort fees especially when many amenities were closed or restricted. I tend to avoid Fairmont’s in general due to these fees.
Spring Break at the Chateau

Another wonderful stay at the Fairmont in Whistler. Comfortable rooms, delicious food and enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub after the days spent skiing. Feeling refreshed and rejuvenated after all the luxurious pampering.
