The Boardwalk Inn was a fantastic place to stay on the grounds of Disney World, very convenient to EPCOT (a 6 minute boat/ferry ride or a 6 block walk), with bus transportation to other parks readily available. The hotel was extremely clean and the grounds were beautiful. Being right on the water was so nice and relaxing! You can also walk to the Swan & Dolphin, the Yacht Club and the Beach Club from this point. We would definitely stay here again.

This hotel was fabulous. Buses on property to all Disney places. We were on concierge floor, it was the best..breakfast, snacks, appetizers were all delicious. Cast members were so helpful and went out of their way for our family..

You can’t beat the location of this hotel. It’s an easy walk to both Epcot and Hollywood Studios. We did wait about 30 minutes for a bus to Animal Kingdom, but they were specifically having issues with those busses (friends at Port Orleans also had an issue). We were given an extra fast pass due to the wait. The hotel has a nice boardwalk atmosphere. Our trip was short, so we pretty much just crashed in the room at night. The beds, pillows were comfortable and allowed for a sound sleep. We didn’t hear any noise from the hallways or other rooms. The only negative was a mildewy smell near the coffee maker. If we had a longer stay, we would have like to enjoy the hotel amenities, including the pools, gym and tennis courts. If you are lucky enough to snag a room within your budget, go for it!

The Boardwalk Inn was EXCEPTIONAL. So far it was our favorite Disney hotel to date. The hotel was beautiful, the grounds amazing and the location could not be any better. We are a family of 5 and stayed in a preferred garden view room. We asked to be close the lobby and had the most amazing room location. (2298) It was ground floor, steps from boardwalk, bus transportation and food. We loved our room - and never felt it was too small. We were even just a couple a minutes from the laundry room which should probably be monitored in some way. No fault of anyone's at Disney but all of the machines were being used when we went in. 3 of the 4 machines had finished their cycles but nobody had emptied them. We left and came back 30 minutes later - same clothes still in washers. At that point we just took the clothes out and hung it nicely from the carts they have in the room. I hate that we had to take someone else's clothes out but whoever left it left it for a very long time (it was almost dry when we took it out) and looks like Disney doesn't monitor for that type of thing. We LOVED being able to walk to Epcot. I must tell you we took the ferry once to both Epcot and Hollywood studios and probably wouldn't do it again. So much better to walk. Our room was very clean when we checked in and had good housekeeping most of the stay. We only had one negative experience and it was with the bell desk the date of our check in. We were having groceries delivered and they were very rude to our delivery person. They were not particularly helpful to us but were exceptionally rude to the delivery people. Just because they were not guests does not make it all right to be rude. Other than that every single employee that we encountered not only at the Boardwalk but throughout our entire trip this year was amazing. Thank you Disney for our best vacation yet! Pros: Convenience to Epcot (7 minute walk)! Boardwalk - fun outside of the park for everyone until 2:00 AM! The great lawn - i swear this was our favorite part of the hotel. We would go hang in the afternoon and sit on the bench with a drink and watch the girls have the type of fun children should have. They played with hula hoops and balls and other children - almost unheard of in this day and age. We LOVED LOVED LOVED the great lawn. Dinner options: so many great sit down options. Quick service on boardwalk - delicious and convenient. Room size Cons: Very difficult for breakfast - you've got a couple of sandwiches at the bakery or bagels inside the hotel. That about sums it up unless you want to shell out $40 for a character breakfast at Trattoria al Forno (which we loved on our last trip but did not enjoy this trip. I'll write a separate review for that). When you pair that with the very limited breakfast options at Magic Kingdom it sort of feels like you must fend for yourself. There should be mickey waffles galore at both locations and unfortunately this was tough for us. Boat to Hollywood studios - This sounds like it could be so nice right... no its actually quite frustrating. You are the first of 3 stops before getting to Hollywood Studios and on the return the final of 3 stops. All the stops along the way make it feel like Boardwalk Inn got the short end of the stick on both trips. Unless the weather was terrible we'd prefer the longer walk to HS. We were disappointed with this. Restrooms in pool were not clean which is very unDisney.

Stayed at the Boardwalk for a Disney Institute course co-located at this hotel's convention center. Clean, well appointed and awesome location! From this hotel, you can walk to Epcot (5 mins via international gateway situated between UK and France pavilions) and Hollywood Studios (15 mins via the paved path) The Boardwalk area is brimming with activity all night and is a lesser known destination within the Walt Disney World resort, but worth a visit. I would take this location over a monorail resort on most trips!
