This was our first trip to Disney and therefore we have not stayed in any other Disney resorts. The resort was very clean and easy to navigate. Staff was friendly and the life guards are excellent. The pool was large and kept very clean. We stayed on the first floor in Building 4. The room was large enough for our party of 2 adults and 2 boys. The room was overall pretty clean. I do wish they had swept underneath the beds while we were there but that's not a huge deal. Buses came regularly for transportation to the parks and Disney Springs. You can also take a boat to Disney Springs which I loved. The biggest downfall was the food. The food is pretty much awful. After realizing how awful it was, we tried to wait to eat breakfast until we got to that day's park. The pizza was disgusting. The pasts dishes were pretty much the only thing edible. The Mickey Beignets were very cute but did not nearly have the taste of a beignet from actual New Orleans. The service was also slow in the dining areas.

Just went to the French Quarter with my daughter for a week. The resort / room was spotless. The staff was excellent. The rooms are recently remodeled. I’ve been to many Disney properties both deluxe and moderate and this one certainly holds its own.

Slow in reception and beignets breakfast section

Waiting to check out at 11 AM. Total stuff in the reception area 7. Behind the reception 4. Only two checking guests. Both taking over 15 min dealing with one individual. None of the others are informing the people in the queue about waiting time or assisting. Most are keeping their eyes low to avoid eye contact with the people waiting. When I’ve asked one of the gentlemen’s to check if other people will be able to help to speed the checking in and out the answer was “This is the only available people so wait in the queue and your time will come soon”. Well this wasn’t true because after 5 min 5 members of the stuff were helping to reduce the queue. They were all present and guilty building this wait in reception in the first place. The same story happens also every morning for breakfast on the beignets area. The busiest section specially after 10:30 in the morning. There are two people usually in every section. At the beignets section the only members of staff that is not changing section is a lady that does anything possible not to help out her other colleague or serve guests. The stuff seems cross trained as they are working in different section different days. Two weeks never seen any of the other stuff helping the most busy or other section. They all waiting to finish, clean they area and finishing their shift. All those issues can be avoided if managers are on the floor on key times of trade, prioritise right, support each other’s and have the right people in the right sections in the right time. The absence of competition is driving Disney chasing the money and not anymore the GUEST experience or as the want to call it the those MAGICAL MOMENTS.

My husband and I stayed here for a weekend trip. I was not impressed with the pictures of the rooms online but once we were there I was pleased. The rooms just seemed to fit with the overall theme and were not as bland as I expected. The room was very clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. It had plenty of room for two people. If my two kids were with me and we were spending a lot of time in the room, I would definitely prefer something larger though. The check-in experience was great - the staff was very friendly. The lobby and grounds were very pretty. The resort is smaller than most Disney resorts and we considered that a plus. We enjoyed walking and running around the path that goes along the river to the Riverside resort. Another perk that we enjoyed was the boat to Disney Springs. We utilized the bus to Hollywood Studios for After Hours. It wasn't too long of a wait but you do share a bus with the Riverside resort. If we were to do it again, we would have probably just driven our car but that is just a personal preference - the bus ride was not awful by any means. The food at the food court was average - nothing to get super excited about. Overall, I would definitely recommend giving this resort a try.

Wow what can I say; an amazing hotel, friendly staff, cleanest rooms I’ve ever been in, air con top quality, food amazing, easy assess to the food court, swimming pool and shuttle buses into the parks. Shuttle busses came around every 10-15 minutes and all air con. Best choice was choosing this hotel.
