WestJet and AMFA Labour Disruption 2024

If you are requesting a refund for a pre-reserved seat or checked baggage fees, please contact our Service and Sales Centre. We're experiencing higher than normal call volumes and you can either phone directly, or request a callback.

If your offer to upgrade was accepted but not honored due to a flight interruption, complete our Upgrade offer refund request form to request a refund. 

Submit your claim through our compensation claims page and our specialized team will review your request and inform you if compensation is approved under the Air Passenger Protection Regulations. Note that according to Air Passenger Protection Regulations, labour disruption is not an eligible disruption reason.

If you have submitted a claim for flight interruptions through your insurance provider and require documentation regarding WestJet flights or WestJet Vacations please complete the Travel insurance claims for WestJet flights form.

WestJet promises to move our affected guests to an alternate flight within 48 hours or refund the ticket to the original form of payment. We are working diligently to complete all the refunds and you will be notified via email when your refund is approved.  

If you incurred out-of-pocket expenses, for hotel, meals or transportation, WestJet will review requests for reasonable expenses that qualify within our guidelines and supporting itemized receipts will be required.  We do not accept bank statements or debit receipts.
