Find somewhere else

The place was run down and dirty, and when you spoke to someone about the problem you were given the same line of "we have no one to fix that as we're renovating soon", every time. Fridge was broken, air-conditioning was faulty, all the furniture was in poor condition and the room was generally grimey. They also advertise trundle and sofa beds, but when you arrive they tell you they don't have any. Great having 3 ppl having to share a bed because the sofa bed doesn't exist. Basically they stopped servicing and maintaining the property months ago due to a complete renovation coming up, but still have no issues taking your money and charging full price. Find somewhere else, do not stay here.
Good but extremely loud street noise

The location of this room for the price is excellent. The rooms are old but clean and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. The main issue is how loud the noise coming off of the street is. The sliding glass door to our balcony was not sealed and there was an open area about an inch wide were there was nothing between us and the outside world which means you can hear everything going on outside while you are trying to sleep and then get woken up by garbage trucks in the morning.
Family Holiday

Not luxury, but the room was huge and lots of room for a family of 5. Perfect location. Easy to walk to Waikiki and suronding areas. It could do with a makeover, but for what we needed and convienince this was what we needed.
Excellent stay, great hotel

This is our 4th time visiting Oahu. The Pearl is our go to hotel. We've just stayed for 23 nights in December. It's a great place to stay, and much cheaper than those hotels along the beach. You're not getting the same views or amenities such as a swimming pool, but the price reflects that. What you do get, is a comfortable stay. The rooms with balconies and suites are very large! They're slightly dated but they are clean and great for families. House keeping isn't daily but available on request. We requested the service a few times during our stay, and the room was cleaned straight away. All the staff are friendly. There's a vending machine and ice machine on one floor and laundry on the other. The laundry is perfect, especially for long stays. The kitchen is well equipped with fridge/freezer, oven, microwave etc. The Pearl is a few blocks from the beach, and is in a great location. Busses and waikiki trollies pass by the road around the corner. At the end of the street is the International Market Place at one end, the other has the canal. We will be sure to check out the Pearl when we return to Waikiki next time.
Very great hotel

Pearl Hotel Waikiki was a great experience to stay at. We only stayed for 2 nights, three days for the Honolulu Marathon, and it was awesome. It was comfy and had a nice view of The city of Honolulu. Pearl Hotel Waikiki is a great place to stay in Honolulu and I will definitely come again!
