We have vacationed at Decameron Los Cocos many times and this was our best experience yet. Our room was fine, with a comfortable bed, good pillows, and was clean. During our stay cleaning staff did a good job. Mobility issues were taken into consideration, and we were given a room in the best location for us. We had a room right beside the pool and my wife used it daily - sometimes twice. The pool was warmer than in previous years. The menu has been changed and food was good. As usual, Flora, was cheerful and made great omlettes, with a large variety of ingredients to choose from. Flora remembered us from previous vacations, and was very welcoming. At The Tropical, the restaurant we regularly ate at, all the staff were friendly and helpful, especially Jose and Reyna. Many of the staff who didn't speak fluent English were trying to improve their English skills. All staff and management people were very friendly and helpful. The beach was great, and the ocean water was very warm. We felt safe and comfortable walking around Guayabitos, and the weather was excellent every day. We required help with mobility needs - West Jet service at the airports, and in the planes was excellent. We look forward to returning next winter.

Love this place. Staff is friendly and accommodating. If only they could keep the elevator working Beach is the best. A la carte food is wonderful as is the buffet. Added plus is that we can go to nearby la Marina or Isla de Coral for drinks and meals

First off they charged my credit card twice and refused to refund card, instead insisting for personal banking info, 3 weeks later, no credit and back home having to take it up with my credit card company. Building 1 by beach is well past it's prime, very old and tired. Moved to building 4 and it was better however beds were still hard like concrete. Food at buffet left a lot to be desired, they served wieners and spam. To be fair ate a couple times at a la carte and it was pretty good. Only 2 a la carte restaurants and only 1 open each night! I preferred walking down to Decameron Marina and eating at their buffet. I will definitely not be back.

When we checked in at night there weren’t any instructions given as to where the restaurants are and which way to the room etc. The receptionist although very polite and considerate but didn’t explain things and gave a printed brochure. We were given a very poor room at first with the worst maintenance I have ever seen. I wouldn’t even pay $20 for that room but after complaining and refusing to stay at that room the reception accommodated us in a better room. I guess it is a three star resort, you can’t really expect a five star service. The beach is full with locals and people trying to sell you all sorts of stuff including fish and prawns. There’s isn’t much laugers at the beach and you have to fight for a vacant one. Even at the bar the service was poor as not that many people working (usually one) and huge line ups to get the drinks. We got to experience the local community which was great. Overall an average experience and nothing too special !

We are exhausted. The beds are hard as rocks and the pillows are lumpy. It’s constantly loud and seems like the windows and doors are open even when closed. It’s impossible to relax because there is always so much noise. The loud speaker with activities starts very early in the day and doesn’t stop at all. Our room is dirty, black hair and dirt in the bathroom upon the arrival. While some staff are friendly, most are rude and dismissive. I will never come back and would never encourage this resort to anyone. A horribly disappointing waste of money.
