Decent hotel, could do better on breakfast.

Alan B (Leicester) on Feb 16, 2024

The room was a good size with a lovely sitting area. Nice balcony overlooking the pool with a view of the sea across the park. Extremely comfortable bed and a large shower. Outside there was a bar area by the pool which had a green artificial grass carpet and a large awning covering half of the sitting area. Great to be able to sit in the shade, the temperature was 29 to 30 C all fortnight and quite humid. You could also have breakfast and lunch outside if you wish. The lunches were good, breakfast I thought could be better for the standard of hotel that this one is. Most of the cereal was the less healthy stuff, raisin bran was really the only healthy option and it seemed to be in short supply (and on some days non-existent). The hot selection was also disappointing, scrambled egg only, and some days it was boiled eggs instead. No omelette/fried egg station. And never any sausages. The staff were really friendly and helpful. No evening meals served at the hotel but there were a lot of restaurants nearby. I have reviewed some of them separately but I would say, avoid the Chefette, it's like an inferior version of McDonalds, and the Dutchie was a bit disappointing. Best for good food and cheapness was the Abbeville sports bar 5 minutes walk away. If you want a more upmarket place then Tapas on the boardwalk was excellent. This was an enjoyable holiday, the only negative was the standard of breakfast available. Oh, and the Sunday evening karaoke was painful to listen to!

Worst Part is Leaving

holababa (Oakville, Canada) on Feb 15, 2024

We stayed 3 nights prior to a cruise at this wonderful hotel with fantastic, friendly staff. Super clean suite with a comfortable king bed and good pillows. We were fortunate to have a room on the 5th floor with a beautiful view of Rockley Beach Park across the road. The road is busy but fun to watch the traffic from the balcony and listen to the horns of the reggae buses. We enjoyed take out on the balcony one night from one of the many nearby restaurants. It was great to only have to walk 5 minutes to our favourite restaurant - Champers. Vouchers for loungers and only having to pay $5 US for an umbrella on a beautiful beach was great. Breakfast was very good alternating from scrambled eggs to pancakes each day with crispy bacon available at no extra charge. Nice small pool for cooling off with plenty of seating near the bar or pool. We were celebrating a special event and our room was decorated with towel swans, rose petals and a small bottle of wine. We hope to return.

Fantastic hotel

Shayne H (Wakefield, United Kingdom) on Feb 15, 2024

Janice on reception is a credit to this hotel. She goes above and beyond to ensure you have a great holiday. Breakfast is a bit steady and I thought it was a bit poor that you are charged for a sausage or an omelette. Apart from that, I loved it! The rooms are very spacious, the pool area is lovely and everywhere is kept clean and tidy. We used the little reggae bus regularly which can get you into The Gap for $3.50. Be ready for an experience tho. I would definitely recommend this hotel, it was great!

Perfect for Rockley beach.

stuartw794 (Eccles, United Kingdom) on Feb 12, 2024

A great location, 2 mins walk from Rockley Beach. The Hotel is clean, well run with everything you need for a relaxing stay. Rooms are spotless cleaned daily with bedding and towels changed every other day. Breakfast was lovely, tasty with lots of choice. You can ask for different eggs if you don’t want scrambled which is what is on offer most days. Washing machines on each floor a really useful. The traffic is noisy outside with the road directly infront if the hotel and the taxi rank office playing their games of Bridge all day. But this will not disturb your sleep as the bedrooms are at the back of the hotel.

Short, But Great Stay

Brian M (Paphos, Cyprus) on Feb 12, 2024

We had only a two night stay prior to joining a cruise. Our suite was well appointed with a sitting area and a kitchen - all clean and comfortable. There was a view to the sea, but across a main road which was noisy. There was a complimentary drinks and snacks evening with entertainment. vey enjoyable. Staff were great. Plenty of eating places nearby - including beach bars.
