Angsana is a beautiful resort with welcoming and wonderful staff.
We had a relaxing and fun holiday in May.
Mr Lucian Mocanu the General Manager of the resort is very friendly and down to earh. He ensured our stay was confortable, Miss Lilian the other manager chated everyday with us, ensuring that our stay is confortable.
We had an beautiful suite with a breathtaking view of the ocean.
I would like to mention the wanderful staff at the Loby Bar : Nali, Pocuror and Rodalio best bartenders, allways with a big smile and very attentive.
At the Alacart Restaurant Yuri the manager and Caridad took excelent care of us.
I recommend this resort not only because is beautiful , I recommended because the staff is hardworking and outstanding.
Amazing holiday making new friends and family.

Visiting the Angasana for the first time was a lovely experience the hotel was amazing and the staff were even more amazing. For just being open after covid the food and supplies were a little slim but still amazing.
Being a customer of the Valentin for years travelling there multiple times a year it looks like the Angasana might be our new spot to travel.
We had such a great time we cancelled our flight and stayed an extra few days.
Mac Dowell the manager was amazing to deal with and made our stay extra. Sorry if i cant name all the staff but we love you all.
from dinner and drinks with Rolando Bell Ibarra, Adrian Iglesias and drinks and dancing with jorge yoslan chinea Torres, Roliecher Ramirez and the entertainment crew made are days and nights. Anytime of the day the beach staff we're very accommodating and lovely to deal with and was always on top of things.
no matter where we were on the resort it was a great experience.
The only things i would ask more of is that there was more evening entertainment like shows and stuff but we made the best of it and the crew made it an experience to remember.
Tiffany and Shane Smyth
We will see you all again!! ??
Beautiful resort with great people!

Angsana is a beautiful new hotel with big clean rooms, gorgeous landscaping, beautiful beaches and wonderful stuff! There is also a reef and you can do snorkeling from the beach. If you want a relaxing and romantic vacation, this is a great resort. People who work there are amazing...Amaya, Ray and Alexandro from the entertainment, Rolando from the buffet (he has a cozy little restaurant in the near town and cooks delicious lobsters), Maylin, Oraldo, Leo from the snack bar and Roli from the lobby bar! There are many others of course and all of them were taking such a good care of us! We felt like very special guests in a very special place!
As the resort is adults only, there is not big entertainement, hiwever every night there was something going on in the lobby bar. There was a beautiful aqua ballet show and a great special Cuban night outside with a band and special food!
I highly reccommend this hotel and would definetely return!
Beautiful and Relaxing Resort!

What a beautiful resort! We stayed at the Angsana from May 20 to May 27th for a family vacation and we did not regret it! The resort is relatively new, I believe it opened at the end of 2018 or early 2019. This adult’s only resort is the best place to relax. We were in rooms 0101, 0102 and 0907. All of them were nice.
The open concept lobby is welcoming. Grounds are beautiful and well maintained. There are 2 pools side by size, a snack bar open 24/7 a lobby bar, 2 different beaches. At night, the place to be is the lobby bar. There is a mini show around 10 o’clock. Everybody gather there in the evening.
This resort is only 252 rooms. When we were there, we were 74 people in total, including staff. Let me tell you it was relaxing! We really enjoyed being almost alone in the resort. In consequence, the buffet wasn’t open for dinner every night. We had 1 a la carte restaurant with different theme (International, Italian, Cuban). If you did not want to go to the a la carte restaurant, your only other choice was the snack bar.
Drinks were ok. Keep in mind that they do not have real juice for cocktails. The white wine was good, so as the mojito and the campari.
Food was ok. You will find something you like for sure. At the snack bar, they serve good pizza, calamari’s and burgers. At the buffet, you will find a choice of chicken, beef or fish. They had fresh vegetables and fruits everyday. The best meal we had was the Cuban night at the buffet. Food was very good and it was a festive night. At the a la carte restaurant, the ceviche is very good. On the other hand, avoid the pasta salad and the Cuban restaurant!
The beaches were beautiful. They are 2 of them. One close to building 01. The longest one. The other one, close to building 12 is a hidden gem! Bring your water shoes and you won’t regret it!
The staff were awesome! Always smiling, very helpful, we felt like home. They really, want you to enjoy your stay.
The rooms were nice, big, clean and functional. In the mini fridge, you had beers and a bottle of water.
Good to know: They don’t have the CUC anymore. You can bring Canadian money or US to tip. No need to change your money for pesos. With the pandemic, not all Cubans return to work in tourism. Half of the hotels are open and not to full capacity. The Cubans still like to receive gift like clothing, shoes, and hygiene products.
Bring some spices to put on your meat; you will thank me later for that!
Bring clothes you don’t wear anymore, they will be so happy!
You can buy rum and cigars at the airport. They have a better choice then the resort, for the same price.
If you are looking for a party resort, this is not the place.
Will I go back and recommend this resort? In a heartbeat. We really enjoyed our stay!

What an amazing trip! This was my second time to Cuba but my first to Cayo Santa Maria as well as by myself. This was the perfect resort for me because I wanted to avoid crowds and the party atmosphere...I just wanted a nice relaxing few days to reset and that is what I got.
The resort itself is well maintained; not sure how long its been open but no obvious signs of wear/tear. The resort is smaller compared to the other resorts but I prefer that....I like walking myself around and getting familiar with the grounds. My room was beautiful...I had a corner Oceanview room right by the main beach. It wasn't until my last day that I noticed ppl were staying in the room next to me and vice versa lol. Water pressure in the shower was perfect, beds were comfy, a/c was definitely working, no issues with water bottles being replenished etc.
Like most of the reviews said the staff at the resort is great. I am horrible with names....except for Alan at the pool bar! I split my time between the beach and the pool.....obviously for scenery the beach is best but the food AND the drinks kept me clming back to pool lol. You would always find me with a tequila sunrise and cheese pizza
I also read about the pizzas from other reviews but honestly......one of the best cheese pizzas I've had PERIOD!!! Nice crispy thin crust and with a dash of hot sauce I brought YUMMMMMY! Chicken nuggets were great as well
The lattes at the piano bar helped Kickstart my morning.
Only tried the Italian a la cart but the lasagna was yummy.
I could definitely see myself coming back!! Already checking out some dates
And if you do book.....be nice and tip!!
They can't use Canadian coins so they may ask you to change coins to bills....bring some extra 10s. At the end of the day you can always exchange the coins when you get home and you're helping them out a bit.
