Entertainment crew

Entertainment crew was amazing! Although one stood out the most, the one that stood out was Reyman (Rey ?) he was absolutely amazing and very welcoming from the start. Made a girls trip feel safe by constantly checking in on us. He was super fun and amazing at what he does. We would totally go back for him! We love you Rey.

I had the best and the most wonderful time at this resort and that’s thanks to Rey Alejandro and the rest of the entertainment crew I am so thankful to them and I cannot wait to come back and see them all again

Best vacation ever

A home away from home. I have now been to Playa 4 times and every time it just keeps getting better. The buffet and al a carte food options were good with lots of fresh fruit which we loved, the bartenders and wait staff always had a smile on their face and were always so friendly. We got to experience a little nightlife in the disco located in the cigar lounge which was a lot of fun and of course the beach is spectacular. For this trip I must give a big shout out to the entertainment team- Julio, Victor, Lisdania, Yailen and Lanys you made this week BY FAR the most amazing vacation for my family and I. The dancing, beach competitions and all the activities were outstanding, so many laughs and even after coming home we are still talking about the memories we made. Thank you for all the energy, enthusiasm and dance moves that you brought each and every day and night to entertain us. We appreciated everything that you did to ensure we got the best vacation.

Estudiente Lionel for Presidenté !!!

CHECK IN We arrived to hotel early. Before the check in time. And our room was NOT ready!!!! But that’s ok. So we went to have some food at the buffet. Which was ok Actually. Then our room was ready. We checked into our room with only minimal issues related to getting the keycard to work. ROOM NOTE we did switch rooms and were given an upgrade to the best building as we did not have a double bed. I should point out, it was our honeymoon (I believe the Cubano personas refer to this as the “luna de miel”?). Our new room was lovely, and had a “sea view” albeit only 1 cubic inch of the window. Nevertheless, we had a clear line of site to the swimming pool number 3 (“Members Pool”). FOOD AND CATERING SERVICES The buffet was, at best, average. In terms of the quality of the pre-prepared food. That said, some of the fresh food was exquisite. Particularly the chicken and pork section. Doubly so when the Head Chef (i could tell by his 6 foot 6 blue hat) was running the section, he added enough wine to get all of continental Europe drunk to the pork. The pizza however was rather moist, soggy, slow, and altogether rather disappointing (however one much pay heed to the general lack of cheese standards in this part of the world). our personal favorite server was a lovely gentleman called Ariel Urra. Ariel is a lovely, intelligent, affable and wholly pleasant chap. Ariel’s charm is second only to his hospitality. I suggest highly that the Senior Management of the hotel move quickly in promoting Ariel in order to ensure his continued allegiance to the business. We had heard (upon leaving the resort) that other hotels are very interested in Ariel. TRAINING AND STAFF DEVELOPMENT The hotel clearly places some emphasis on training of staff. We were fortunate enough to see a student in the wild. Our student was a delightful young fellow named Estudienté Lionel. Lionel was, in many ways, more “master” than student. His water pouring was exceptional, his uniform was utterly faultless, and his attention to detail second to none. We were lucky enough to see Estudiente Lionel progress to his next stage of training - wine pouring. While not as capable as with water, it was evident that he has the raw talent required to deliver Waite ring services to such a highly proficient standard. Estudiente Lionel should, in my (professional, as former Chef de Patron of the 3 Michelin starred kitchen Core by Clare Smyth in London) opinion be promoted into a Maestro Lionel position. CUSTOMER SERVICE A woman that requires no introduction. The Mick Jagger of customer experience. ELAINE. What a woman. She is incredible. Such a lovely, warm, maternal figure. She resolved all of our issues and questions post haste. 10/10 for Elaine. ENTERTAINMENT Victor is an interesting character. Sometimes hot sometimes cold. We were lucky enough to be in the resort at the same time as characters such as: Ratchetho Champion The twins Pirate woman Mandy man Ratchetho support group Brother and sister twerk Big canadians / snack kings On entertainment… I think it is important that I flag the Michael Jackson act. For a long time I have questioned whether Michael Jackson has truly been dead or not. for the first time in my life I was finally able to answer this question. As it turns out MJ was alive all along and added to that there are at least five others on stage with him who could also be MJ. FACILITIES AND AMENITIES During Our stay we were excited to meet our chambermaid. Chambermaid was an inquisitive understanding and wholly polite man. He pulled some proverbial strings and got our washing done in minutes. We were also offered rum at a very heavily discounted price by an individual. We were delighted to avail of the incredible discounts that he was able to offer. We purchased four bottles of the finest Havana club rum for pennies on the dollar! ADVICE If you are considering attending this resort my one suggestion is to bring a giant chilled coffee receptacle so that you might avail of the unlimited drinks and after without having to refill tiny cups. Also, my sincere advice would be to go to one of the other 5 star hotels in Santa Maria - if you are looking for a LUXURY experience. We came here as they were sold out. In any event our trip was enjoyable

Help for your staff

The best was the staff, for that reason I want help them at least with a review...I think you should take care of all those young guys that are giving value to your offer. Could you help your staff to increase their knowledge? Could you provide them free internet? Could you supporting them with the idiom school intensive courses? Why we should pay the disco, even when is an all inclusive concept? The quality of guest rooms has decreased a lot...I think you should do your maintenance more frequently... I want to congratulate all the hotel personel
