Great Experience, staff was awesome, food is

The entertainment staff at this place is seriously awesome, they do so much to make sure you have a good time. It is clear they are passionate and love their jobs. Harlet and Angelo teach awesome classes and are always a ton of fun. The diving is great and very convenient from the hotel. The stay would be perfect if they have more variety in their food choices, after five days the food started to get a little monotonous.

Last time visiting here in the Covid era.

This was our 12th visit here and the last until Covid is over. Wearing a mask in 87 degrees into a restaurant is ridiculous and frankly unhealthy. Bring paper masks you can change out. You will need to wear it while getting your food at the buffet and into all restaurants. We had the unfortunate timing to be at the resort the same time as 5 very large dive groups so it was busy. You can serve yourself to salad and soup but not hot foods. So prepare for long lines no rhyme or reason. Oriental restaurant now has a set menu. Zero choices. Mexican was good though. Beds are still hard, bring a 20 buck bed topper for a full bed, you'll thank me later. Water is no longer bottles in the room. You have 2 glass water bottles to fill at water stations throughout the resort. Plan ahead for nighttime teeth brushing because bugs still rule the night. Bring lots of suncreen and Deet Off. Gym is only open 7am to 3pm which are terrible hours for divers. No one at the front desk could explain why. We come here for diving, but after trying to compete with a hundred divers from 5 separate clubs during the same week, we won't be back for a few years. Epic fail on corporate Dressel Divers not really Iberostars problem. Other than the resort was really busy. Extra cleaning costs/tax at check out and another penalty at the airport for coming to "their" island. Got a cold, probably from my dirty mask, Benadryl 24 bucks at the gift shop. So at the end of 9 days, truly over this place for a while.

Angelo was absolutely friendly, accommodating and talented. We love this resort. Angelo and Alejandra were especially amazing! My 5th stay at Iberostar, I won’t stay anywhere else in Cozumel. Must visit Rasta’s for the peanut butter tequila and Coconuts for the awesome beach view.

We Loved It!

I chose Iberostar for the on-site dive shop and was pleasantly surprised by the resort as well. The service was fantastic, we especially loved Cindy who took care of us at breakfast every morning and Reyes who was always available to pick up and drop off to our rooms in the golf cart. Angelo was also very entertaining, we enjoyed his performances and his water aerobics! Such fun, we will be back!

Great service….terrible food

We really liked the hotel location, the service was fantastic, and the many activities. The cons were smoking was allowed everywhere, the rooms need to be updated, only allowed so many dinner reservations at the restaurants. The food selection was good but the food itself was terrible….to the point Inwould not go back.
