This is a great place to spend some time with family or even when traveling for business. It is located centrally so with a car you can go anywhere. The staff is extremely helpful and every problem is solved in matter of minutes. The rooms are beautiful with high ceilings. There is a fridge and everything else a room needs. Breakfast is very nice as well and the bar in the evening has the best chicken wings you can wish for and great cocktails. I am definitely coming back!

Very bad service !!!!! Waited for aprox 2 hours for food. Restaurant price is a rip off.
Friends food was super spicy and cold, mine was also cold. They charged 15% service charges for no service. 2 waiters for 60 guests..

We stayed longer at Acoya then expected and from beginning to end all the staff were super accomodating and friendly. From the chef, room service ladies, front desk staff and especially Henry.
They responded to all my requests with a smile and speedy replies. They even picked coconuts so we could drink the water!
Would definitely return.
Thank you Acoya for making an unexpectedly long trip enjoyable

Review from a Curaçao resident staying 2 nights for business.
Check-in: No greeting, I stood there waiting while he made 3 calls before even saying anything to me. After I received my room key he proceeded to tell me that I was too early for check-in. I don't know if there is no communication between colleagues but I called to ask for at least 30min early check-in due to a business meeting at 4pm. I was told the room would be ready for me by 3pm, I checked in 3:20pm if i'm not mistaken.
Breakfast: no direction, no greeting, I stood there trying to figure out what and where I needed to be. There were no plates. Staff then went to the back to grab some plates. The first and second plate still had residual food particles on it. I had breakfast without anyone even asking my room # on day 1. The breakfast was held outside. 2nd day display and service was better the food was served inside but they told me it wasn't included in my package. She then double checked with her colleague then apologized for the mix up.
Check-out: a young girl was at the front desk, also didn't greet me and proceeded to make 2 calls while I wait.
The room itself is fine. What I did miss is the do not disturb sign to hang on the door.
Also I'm not sure if these rooms are sound proof but I had someone bang on my door 4 times without saying anything, I kept replying then they proceeded to open and enter my room. It was the same guy from the front desk delivering a hotel announcement about entertainment and BBQ. At least knock and say front desk or something don't knock like you're about to knockdown my door.
Overall as long as you didn't need anything from the staff you were fine. A suggestion to management, people pay to stay at your hotel just saying you will work on it and "improve" is not good enough. You need to find a better way to compensate or make good on these bad experiences.
Too bad, but never again in Acoya.

Shame, but never again Acoya!
My family and I stayed in Acoya for two weeks. Absolutely no value for money.
Acoya is in need of an extreme renovation and update.
Both sofas/couches were full of stains, patio chairs full of cobwebs, almost no cooking utensils, bathroom very out-dated.
In the master bedroom two twin mattresses were pushed together into 1 bed, leaving a hard edge in the middle.
If you are taller than 1.80 m you have to bend down to get into the shower cabin and you can hardly turn or bend down to soap yourself. The size of the shower cabin is barely 70x70 cm. (see photos)
Housekeeping urgently needs training. Cleaning of the apartment is not done consistently. We were there with 3 people. One day you get 2 towels, another day 1 towel and if you are lucky the right amount. The swimming towels were terrible, all were completely faded.
During our two weeks stay I've had to call the front desk almost every day for something that wasn't right.
I don't understand that Acoya has been named the No. 1 hotel for 2021.
The service from the reception staff however was excellent. They are trying their best.
Too bad for the resort. The environment is fantastic, nice swimming pool, great opportunities for Acoya, but they leave them unused.
