This was a 15 hour nightmare stay at the hotel which could not accommodate decent bed even for a one night stand. Even taxi drivers confirmed all visitors complained about terrible food served at the hotel

Booked out vacation through Expedia & paid for x2 50 minute Swedish massages a week prior to visit. Went to the spa the day before to confirm, they did not have the reservation so that was fixed. Went the next day to be told we did NOT pay and had to pay again & pay MORE. Food was ok, drinks are bottom shelf. The bartenders & most of the staff are lovely. Rooms have a musty smell.
Wanted to love our return trip

This was our 2nd time to Sunscape, after visiting back in 2017. Our 1st resort experience was wonderful. Unfortunately, our 2nd stay did not live up to our expectations. Their beach front is their best asset, with great snorkeling opportunities.Bartender, Norma, was incredible with her cheerful greetings and conversations but many of the staff were rude. The food choices (delicious in 2017) were limited and of fair quality. The World Cafe buffet did not restock food consistently during their open hours. It took housekeeping almost 5 days to leave us more than 2 towels(we were registered as a party of 3). Our stay occurred during a predicted tropical storm. It seems some rooms were stocked w/ large umbrellas but ours was not Bars were closed all day during the heavy rain(I do understand the liability) and all restaurants were closed except for the buffet. Food choices were awful by evening. My family and I are not picky eaters. I wanted to love our return trip but the resort did not live up to my expectations.

Not a place I would recommend. Very old and lacking luster of any kind. Preferred spending time next door at Cabana Beach which had nice shops, restaurant and music all day and all night long. However that was very pricy after we were already paying for an all inclusive.
Beautiful Location But Need a Bit of TLC

The Curacao Sunscape is an older resort that could use some updating. It is situated on a gorgeous piece of beach with good snorkeling and calm, clear blue water. Lounge chairs and umbrellas were available and it was easy to spend the day oceanside.
Our room was a bit of a let down after last year's visit to a Dreams Resort, but mostly because it was a bit aged. This meaning that its a bit smaller and could use some updates. Our beds were comfortable, the room was quiet, and the temperature was easily controlled with the AC unit. We also had daily room cleaning, so in the end, we were satisfied with our accommodations.
The one area that was a large disappointment was the food and drinks. The specialty restaurants are a most if you want a meal with any flavor, but be sure to order all courses or you will leave feeling hungry. The buffet was really where we struggled. The food was bland, visually unappealing, and not covered. It was often hard to find silverware or glasses. I think they may still be struggling with staffing here due to Covid, but if not, its the one thing that really made me mark this as average.
Other than the beach, the UVC staff and the resort staff were all friendly and helpful. If you go with the expectation that its about the beach, relaxation, and friendly staff, this place will be great, but if you are all about the food, you may want to choose another place until they get this figured out.
