Excellent Stay!

boymomdfw (Dallas, Texas) on Sep 06, 2021

Because of Covid 19 there are no restaurants open in the hotel. The house keeping is every 3 nights but they are really good about bringing extra towels or items that you need. There is also no valet parking but the self parking is very easy and there are lots of spots available in the garage right next to the hotel. The room was excellent with 2 queens and a day bed. Everything was very comfortable. We usually stay at the Grand Californian, but it wasn't available. This is a very good alternative. Also to get to the parks just walk across the street and go through the Grand Californian. DO NOT go the LONG way through downtown Disney.

Fun time at Disneyland

157lovetotravel (Saginaw, Michigan) on Aug 04, 2021

I was a little nervous before arrival with the negative reviews, but we really enjoyed our visit to this hotel. We had done a lot of research on what was and wasn’t available due to COVID. We knew no restaurants were open in the hotel. The Grand Californian was quite literally right across the street and we ate there twice. One night we ordered take out from a restaurant in Downtown Disney and it arrived quickly and hot and we enjoyed our meal out on the pool deck. We did not find the walk to the parks to be terrible. Because we were staying at the resort we were able to access Downtown Disney through the Grand Californian and that got you pretty close to the park gates. A couple of days we grabbed breakfast in Downtown Disney on our way to the park. As for the elevators we did not find them difficult to use if you followed the letter elevator it told you to go to. Yes, sometimes it went up before going down, but we always got where we needed to go. If it was full we let it go and pressed the floor again for a new assignment. Our room was comfortable and we had plenty of room for two adults and a teen. We enjoyed the beach theming of the hotel. We found it very clean and the staff very friendly and always willing to help. The pool is not huge, but the chairs are super comfy and it is a nice place to relax after busy times in the parks. It was never super busy and we always found a chair. One big selling point for this hotel was that we could see the park fireworks from the pool deck and we watched them 3 of the 5 nights we were there. Overall we had a great visit and would recommend it to anyone who wants to be close to the Disney action. We found it lived up to the Disney expectations and theming. Disney hotels are never all Mickey, but they all have a unique theme you don’t find at other chain hotels.
