Comfy hotel
PlatinumStar (Saskatchewan) on Jul 02, 2022
Stayed for 2 nights over a weekend. We booked a last minute trip to Jasper for our anniversary and after trying a few different hotels, this was the only one with vacancy still for the weekend. We had a room with 2 queen beds, and it was quite roomy and comfortable. I was pleasantly surprised by the comfiness of the beds and pillows. One of the beds, however, had a broken spring or the box spring broken, so we just used the other bed. Cleanliness was on par with most hotels. The bathroom was small but was renovated recently and there was a separate coffee bar/sink outside the bathroom which was nice. The 2nd morning was a bit loud with people checking out, the rooms aren't too terribly soundproof, but most of the noise was coming from the hallway, not room-to-room. Overall, we had a very nice stay and would probably come back. Price was right. However, I will complain about not offering housekeeping because of "covid". Most hotels have gone back to regular service, as they should.
Pleasant, comfortable hotel

Stayed for two nights after being on the Rocky Mountaineer. Comfortable hotel with good beds and bedding, only a few minutes walk from the centre of Jasper. The restaurant wasn’t open in the evening but the hotel was good for a couple of nights stay.
Dirty Room

We checked in to room 127 and after a long drive our first stop was the bathroom. There was a VERY noticeable dark red smear on the wall right above the garbage can. First thought was “ohh that’s disgusting… no way housekeeping missed that”. Then went to maybe it’s just dried paint… grabbed the makeup wipe from the bathroom counter and proceeded to give it a wipe. Indeed it came off so it was most definitely blood. I headed down to the front desk and they did give us a different room but honestly when paying $399 per night and seeing something so obvious get missed you can’t help but wonder what else was missed or just simply not cleaned. Don’t bother with the copy and pasted reply about hoping we enjoyed our stay. We didn’t and we will be sure to never stay at this property again. Guests need to be aware of how filthy the rooms are. No way I should have paid $399 to wipe someone else’s blood off the bathroom wall.
Great location

This hotel is in a perfect location for exploring Jasper, just a few minutes walk to the main streets with all the shops and eateries. We had a twin room with two queen size beds. Our room was very spacious and comfortable. The decor is a bit tired and the air con unit is a bit noisey. The restaurant is only open for breakfast at the moment, but there are plenty of other options around. The breakfast buffet was very good value with good choice. Jasper itself is a lovely town with nice scenery, good shops, good cafes and lots of walks.

Great first impression when driving up and seeing the hotel tucked away into some trees! A nice hotel with great pool and hot tub area. Staff was very friendly and professional. The rooms had all you need!
