Aside from the food being a little bland at the restaurants the hotel was beautiful, the staff was so friendly and extremely helpful fir everything!! I would stay here again for sure! The pool and slides were amazing for the kids and everyone had a great time!

Great Amenities/Average Customer Service/Poor Room Quality

JaceClem on Jul 18, 2021

We recently took our 4 & 6 year old to this hotel for a five night vacation. We had a great time when it came to the outdoor amenities: the lazy river, the water slides, and the pool had kept my children’s interest most of the day. We went to the private beach one morning and had a great time as well. I would rate these aspects a five. When it came to the customer service, it was lacking. 1) people in the outdoor areas were rarely friendly. The ones who were were those interested in tips. 2) people in the lobby often made it feel a chore to answer questions. However, Scott, one of the bellman was excellent upon arrival. He not only helped us out, but also was very friendly providing advise with the area. (To continue in room) The room we stayed in was not the room in the picture. It was in one of the worst conditions of a resort room that I have experienced. There was water rot in the floorboards, discoloration in the walls, the grout was black and not on purpose as you could see the original tanish color in low traffic areas. There was rot underneath the “refrigerator” which wasn’t a refrigerator. It was a chiller. We lost $40 worth of meat and cheese because no one ever said it’s a chiller until we called to have it fixed. The AC wouldn’t get below 71 in the room (we sleep cold). And when we called the front desk, they sent a maintenance person to basically override the lowest setting. However, when we hit display, it showed that our room was normally 71-74. The dresser had two drawers, one smaller than the other so we lived out of suitcases for the most part. We never asked to switch rooms, but that room was in bad shape. I expect that condition out of a motel or select service hotel, not a $400+ a night resort. I also know that times are tough with staffing in the hotel industry, I have a father who runs two select service hotels, but this wasn’t what I expected either. So, if you are looking for amenities and you don’t care if your room is not to par and your service is average at best, this place might be for you.
