My days at the hotel were incredible! I was able to enjoy every second there. The treatment was splendid, immediate and beautiful attention in each of the services. The food well prepared and delicious. I loved the animation of the hotel, the animation team they have is wonderful, I was especially able to enjoy the dance classes directed by Jaime. I admit that my thing is not dancing and with Jaime I learned and i enjoyed a lot. He has a charisma and care for all of us. I will definitely visit them again soon. We had our best vacation at Sol Rio de Luna and Mares, There is the a wonderful beach, very clean and flat, food at the restaurants are very delicious, views from the room are beautiful, we had a lot of fun we the guy from the Club House Amauri the entertainer he is very kind and gentle. We will be back soon!

Visited hotel beggining of December with family was staying for 3 weeks.This is was our 9 time to this beautiful resort. Enjoyed every single day, the food, the restaurants which their offering in the evenings,also different show time in the evening. Some drinks wasn't available but its no big deal always found something to drink. The most important it's the staff who makes us keep coming back to this place, Clara from snack bar, Jose, Alina also management who makes the stay so special. This time we went to swim with dolphins(it's very close to resort) our daughter enjoyed so much, she said can't wait next time. Definitely coming back this year again.

My wife and I have visited the Luna/Mares many times over the years and have nothing but the fondest of memories of the resort and it’s exceptional staff. Due to Covid we were forced to curtail our visits to the resort for close to 4 years. At long last we recently returned for a 2 week stay. The resort (Mares side for now) has been nicely refreshed and updated, including the lobby area, Colon Buffet Restaurant, and an all new La Pinta beach restaurant. The rooms have also received full renovations and now have fresh new paint, finishing, tiling, bathrooms with great walk-in glass showers with endless hot water, and quiet, cool AC. The grounds are beautiful and meticulously groomed, and are being continuously cared for. The pool and pool area are also super clean and under constant care and attention. The beach is nothing short of stunning. The powdery white sand and the ocean’s array of aqua blue colours always captivates, and had us catching ourselves saying Wow, over and over again during our walks and swims. Even though we’ve returned many times, it just never gets old. The food quality is always very good. There are currently supply chain issues in Cuba, so there were some items that were previously available that were absent during our stay, but I’m confident that in the future this will be resolved. No fault of the resort, and it in no way affected our dining experiences. Now to the staff. This is for us, and for many I believe what really sets this resort apart. It starts the second you arrive and continues until your final goodbye. The ENTIRE staff are genuinely authentic, organic, helpful, and kind. I commend the new manager David on the job he has done with bringing it all together, and making guests stays seamless, pleasant and memorable. Some of the wait staff that really stood out include, Clara, all the Yanet’s, Jorge, Orlando, Yumara, Orfilena, Lucy, Praxides, Jose (pool bar), and Dorothea. However this list should really include every waiter and waitress as they are all so pleasant and kind. The animation team also requires mention as they all work very hard, are always present and provide great entertainment and activities for anyone wishing to participate. A very talented group! And finally we need to mention Ronald at the alaCarte restaurant’s reservation desk. He is an exceptional man that always greets you with a smile and is a wealth of information on and off the resort. He makes us laugh, and always feel special. If any of the guests at the resort ever need anything I always tell them to go see Ronald and he will set you in the right direction. He’s a great resource, and great ambassador for the resort. Cuba and the Luna/ Mares may not be for everyone. You need to know what you need, like, and want. Then do some research and see if it aligns. If you’re looking for a laid back, slower paced vacation where the people are genuine, authentic, and organic this may be the place for you. I remember the first time we visited here and we met some people that told us they had been back 5 times to the Luna/ Mares. We couldn’t believe it. I wondered who would return to the same place so many times? That said, my wife and I have now lost track of how many times we have been back, it’s well into the 20’s now! Testament to the resort, it’s gracious staff, and quality standards it aspires to. Just freshly back from our most recent stay, and we are already looking forward to the next time. Muchas Gracias! Our family had an awesome time at the resort. A big thank you to the Customer service manager Yunier and Kitchen manager Giovanni, they both made our vacation very memorable. The customer service was exceptional. Staff are very friendly and trying hard to satisfy the travelers needs. That’s very impressive. The beach is beautiful. The kayak and pedal boat are free, you just tip them. The food at the buffet had a different variety to choose from. Papaya and pineapple were always available. The snack bar was open 24h. Pina colada and mojito at the snack bar were amazing. Definitely try the Cuban a la carte restaurant, it was our favourite, the food was delicious. Half of the resort was closed for renovations, but it didn’t bother us. The gym is also available in the resort. In our opinion the entertainment in the lobby was better than in the theatre. We truly enjoyed our stay at the Sol Rio de Luna Y Mares. We’ll definitely come back!!!
