Top of the building. Views on steroids! Sunsets. Quiet. Corner of the building. The shopping center is connected to this hotel, Pool is 9 feet deep. Signature restaurant is one floor above. Fantastic eatery. I visit Honolulu 4 times annually. Ask for this room!
Do not stay there

ALL group should be ashamed to have Mantra Ala Moana part of their hotels. Room was dirty and warn out. Stains on the sofa bed matress. Kitchenette was discusting with most cabinets falling apart. Do not stay here, for any reason. Parking is impossible to find, so you must valet the car ($$$). We left after one night (11 nights booked) and went to another hotel. Never, in over 15 uears of travel, have I ever experienced a dirty hotel like this. Just clode the place.
Small room, with bugs in the bathroom, and a view of the parking lot.

Bathtub has dozens of insect wings - possibly a termite swarm.
Handy to walk to Ala Moana directly from the hotel to the Macy parking lot - however not safe after dark! We were approached by a crazy person on the way back who threatened us and would not let us pass. We ended up having to call the police.
Great location, but somewhat disappointing at the moment

I’ve stayed in this hotel several times before, and it is well situated for shopping at Ala Moana Shopping Centre. This time the hotel was undergoing some renovations and the pool was closed until 4-5 pm every day. As part of the renovations they have removed showers from the pool area, which means if you have a late flight and choose to spend some time at the pool, there is nowhere to shower afterwards. There are also no hospitality rooms available anymore either. A big plus is the new cafe on the pool floor which provides great food at very reasonable prices. It is called Cafe Dada and it also does takeout. This cafe was close to the highlight of my three day stopover in Honolulu. The ever popular Signatures on the 36th floor used to be a great place for a drink and bar snack during daily Happy Hours (4.30-6.30), but this time people started lining up before 4.30 to access the elevators to there. I had to wait 20mins for a seat at the bar, however it was a Friday night and maybe that was a factor. It was definitely way more popular than the last time I was there pre-Covid.
OK but could have been better

FAR if your looking to walk to or from Waikiki and the traffic close to the hotel is terrible with a hard time for pedestrians. The hotel was okay but it has seen better days. Very small room. Smooth connection to Ala Moana center.
