Very disappointed in hotel management
Charlie A on Sep 30, 2023
Beautiful location, great housekeeping and maintenance staff. Front desk and management is very rude and non responsive. I do not say this lightly as a lifetime Titanium member. I spoke directly to the management, messaged in the app, and sent in the official complaint. No replies. Spend no more than $300 per night here. I spent $1,000 per night and deeply regret it
Love the hotel. Hate the resort fee

They have the best pool in Waikiki for kids in my opinion. I've stayed at a few other places in Waikiki, but always come back here because the kids like the pool. It's also very nice to have beach access just beyond the pool. I hate this and all other resort fee. You pay for the wifi that anybody who is in the hotel can also use. You pay for the lessons that you can't get into because they are booked. Just be honest and raise the price of your rooms and stop pretending it provides any sort of meaningful value for the guest. End rant.
Truly outstanding resort, everything you would expect and then some!

Our stay at the Sheraton Waikiki was just as magical as Oahu itself. The staff are a delight and share positive energy with every heartfelt aloha that they greet you with. The resort is well located and facilities are excellent, pools are amazing and everything is exactly as you would want it to be to help make the perfect relaxing holiday. Inside the rooms the beds are comfortable, bathroom is modern and has good water pressure and ample hot water, and the view from the balcony was one of the highlights of our trip. The ocean is at your footstep and dazzles with a million different everchanging sounds and colours from sunrise to sunset. Room servicing (available daily) is done professionally and always has you feeling like you have just checked in for the first time. A big thank you to Roger H for his exceptional hospitality and the very kind parting gift on our last day. We will definitely be back to Oahu and look forward to our next stay at the Sheraton Waikiki!]
The view is amazing, the service is awful!

Yes, the view at this hotel is first-class. We absolutely loved waking up to the sound of the waves, seeing the turtles bob up and down in the surf, and that view - just wow! The room was also nicely updated, and the house cleaning did a good job, so no complaints there. However, the service is absolutely dreadful. Firstly we requested an early check-in as our plane arrived in Honolulu at 6 am. When we arrived at the hotel around 7 a.m., we were told that our room was not ready and we would have to leave our luggage and go out for the day. We had already offered to pay for early check-in, however, this was not done. What happened next was astounding... This hotel has nowhere to get changed, have a shower or freshen up after you arrive. Is this for real? Our room was finally made available to us 5 and a half hours later. Other concerns to consider: There is no room service whatsoever. Again, this is unheard of. How a Sheraton hotel has no room service facilities was beyond us. They even have a button on the phone which says room service (and having stayed here previously, they used to have it). You therefore can not get a wine glass, a plate or even a knife brought to your room. Crazy stuff. The mini bar in the room is not stocked with anything and there are no amenities provided, other than the basics. The pool is lovely, but as we were told by the staff, you need to be there before 8 a.m. to reserve a seat, otherwise you will miss out. There are only 4 umbrellas, so expect no shade around the pool unless you want to pay for the reserved front 2 rows of seating (which completely block the view of everyone else). The pool staff also do not move people's items as they promise they will for not using the chairs. This simply does not happen or if it does, it's incredibly rare and only because someone has complained. The breakfast menu at the Kai is terrible frankly. We sat down to eat there one morning & ended up leaving as it's really only designed for prepaid customers who are accepting of the basic offering. The coffee there is only an Americana, so I wouldn't be bothered going there. RumFire used to be a great place for food and drinks. The menu again here was very limited and the cocktails we had were average at best. Such a shame as the location is amazing. Perhaps Waikiki has changed and the customer service in other hotels has equally dropped, I can't say. All I know is that for 7 nights, costing us A$5.7k the only reason I would stay here again is for that view!
Beautiful Views and Great Location

Beautiful Views and Great Location! The sunrise and sunset from the beach were amazing. We enjoyed being able to walk out of the hotel onto the beach and catch the oc an breeze and enjoy the surf. Take advantage of the free ukelele lessons, water Zumba, yoga classes and hula lessons too.
