This moderate hotel just completed a $6.6 million renovation. Guest rooms are completely new and have been redone in a refined tropical theme, reflecting Hawaii's rich cultural history. With its great location in Waikiki, the beach, shopping, dining and entertainment are within easy walking distance.
This was one of the worst experiences I have ever had at a hotel. Not only would I not recommend staying here, but I would advise that you find some place else to stay.
The hotel has the feel of a cheap motel masquerading as a resort. There was dust on all of the vents and details of the sink front which made us questionthe cleanlinessof everything else, the furniture looks like it has seen better days (chair did not feel stable to sit in, fraying textiles) , it appears that problem areas on the walls and doors have simply been painted over, the sink leaked, the shower flooded the floor no matter what we did, and the sliding door to the miniscule balcony was difficult to open and close. Parking cost $35 per night, this was discovered when we arrived. The parking garage itself was so narrow that it felt like driving through a hamster tube. The ramps are barely larger than a sedan and the parking places are so tight it's difficult to get your car doors open when there are cars next to you. I don't think you could fit a larger car in there without hitting the walls. On Friday evening, the parking garage had filled up and we were forced to park several blocks away in spite of telling them knowing that we would be parking all 3 nights (they asked, we confirmed when we got out parking pass). They did validate our parking for the other garage, but we were forced to walk the several blocks back to the original garage to get a validation sticker and then walk back to out car to put it on the dash of the car so we didn't get towed. We were at the hotel's garage when we were told to park at the other garage, not sure why they couldn't give us the validation sticker then instead of us having to walk back and forth several times. When asked that they comp the parking fee for the third night and they did. We were also hit with additional "resort fees" that were not listed anywhere when booking. We ended up spending an additional $200 above the original paid cost of the hotel due to additional fees that we were not notified of. Had we been aware of all of the additional costs, the state of of room, or even the parking situation, we would have stayed elsewhere.

Terrible hotel, non-existent management, outdated room. Kamaaina promo of 500 hawaiian miles a night and they never paid me. Contacted the hotel 5 times and spoke to Robert and Puu with them ending the call with "someone will get this resolved" or "someone will contact you" and they didnt do either of those things. 5 months later and they have ignored my requests and falsely advertised a promotion. The actual stay was also terrible. Extremely small parking, room was dirty (found a womans fake nail on the counter next to the ice bucket), old shower curtain soaked to the point it flooded the bathroom floor, asked for more towels and never received them, deep dents in the bed on both sides, received 2 keys and only 1 worked. Disappointed and disgusted with this entire establishment. Do not ever stay here, find somewhere better.
