This a great place to stay and relax. The only thing that I didn’t love was that alcoholic brebajes were diluted, even the beer, but if you don’t drink alcohol the rest would be excellent Great quality on the food

So so

Rooms are very old and smelly. Airconditioning is low. Had to change rooms twice. There was blood stain on the bed cover. Very long walk to the beach but beach is nice. Need to remodel pools. Drinks have no presentation. Just on a plastic small glass.

With so many bad things it’s hard to know where to begin

We recently traveled to Las Brisas for our honeymoon, deciding to split up the trip with two nights at a very nice property in Zihuatanejo followed by four nights in Ixtapa…we should’ve stayed in Zihua. Upon checking into Las Brisas the front desk agent had a very cold and curt demeanor which is not what you want when you’re checking into a hotel. If you opt out of the all inclusive then you pay for everything in the moment instead of charging it to your room which feels highly inefficient. The food wasn’t particularly good at any of the locations we tried. My omelette was over cooked and had incorrect ingredients in it at the buffet. El Mexicano their higher end restaurant has a no shorts policy for men and a no sandals policy for women…at a beach resort. I’m lucky I packed a pair of pants! The staff at El Mexicano was friendly which is a plus but there was a screaming child at the table next to us. Weird to deny people entry because they’re wearing shorts but admit screaming toddlers. Our last day we decided to upgrade to the Fiesta Suite with its own private pool. Big mistake. The pool was filthy and the coffee table and tv console in the living room were both covered with ants and other bugs. This is strange because it apparently took them three hours to clean the room so I’m not really sure what they were doing in there during that time. In short, if you’re looking to stay in Ixtapa and not experience anything that the town has to offer then stay at Las Brisas and get the all inclusive. You can sit on the beach and drink Margaritas until you can’t stand up (it’s about $100USD per person per day for the all inclusive which means it’s honestly cheaper to take taxis to Zihua and eat the better food you can find off property). But if you want to enjoy what Ixtapa has to offer stay somewhere else.

First visit to Las Brisas Ixtapa

No complaints about the staff, the check in or check out. Everyone is kind and helpful. The hotel was clean, our room was very nice (but that of course came with a very high $$$ as we had the emperor suite) and the views are fabulous. The inconveniences we had were the following: the quality of the food is just OK. The breakfast was the best but lunch and dinner are not great and menu items are very limited; especially for dinner!!! We paid for the all inclusive plan but you can only drink in certain bars and at certain times of the day. The closest bar to me was a 20 minute walk from my room!!!! They would refuse to allow me to carry the drink back to my room and if I ordered room service my all inclusive was not respected so I would have to pay full price for all of my drinks. They never explained this policy when I booked. My husband and I both worked half a day while we were there and purposely took the emperors suite because it had its own swimming pool. The last think on our mind was having to walk for 20 minutes + to have to get a drink. This is definitely not the hotel where you want to buy an all inclusive package. Walking distances are excessive and the amount of stairs to get to the pool, restaurants and beach would make it a burden for anyone with children, anyone over 55 and impossible for any elderly couple.

Great stay!

We had a great stay here at Las Brisas. We upgraded to the room with the jacuzzi and we were not disappointed. It had a lounging area and they provide you with robes as well as shampoo, conditioner, scope, etc. We only had an issue checking in, they couldn’t find our reservation (we had booked with Expedia). So we had to wait about 45 mins to figure it out. Otherwise it was a great stay!
