Holo-holo-ku
The word holo means “to run” and kū means “to stand”. This name is reflective of the nature of the kōlea, the Golden plover, which migrates from Alaska and Siberia to Hawaiʻi every fall and stays through the end of April; during which time you can find them hanging around in large open spaces such as our property, Kāʻanapali Beach Hotel.
The movement of the kōlea is iconic, step, step, and then still, which is the imagery invoked when we think about the guests participating in this program. They will be taking short trips here and there amongst property and stopping at different locations to observe, listen, and learn about Hawaiian culture.

Excellent service, view and accomodations. Would definitely recommend, to friend , family and co-workers. Staff was amazing and friendly. Room was clean. Food was great! Would appreciate a shuttle service.
Great family vacay just missing a few things

We had a very nice stay here. The beach is perfect, and the property is well maintained. We do wish the food was better at the restaurant, and that the bed in the room was comfier. (We also thought a junior suite would have a separate room from our son, but that was not the case. This was likely our fault though, not the hotel.) Either way we would come back. It's the perfect side of the island to be on for a family. It is also the most reasonably priced hotel in the area (although still pricey). We also loved the exit ceremony as well as the friendliness of the staff at the resort.
