Sitting on 27 acres of tropical foliage, this resort has a superb oceanfront location on an exclusive stretch of Ka'anapali Beach. The rooms are modern with luxury amenities and the theme is holokai, meaning Polynesian voyaging, reflecting on the importance of the canoe to Hawaiian culture.

I came to the Royal Lahaina Resort with my best friend on a girl's trip. We were here for a perfect week and couldn't say say enough good things about this hotel. I had never stayed above black rock before and I'm so happy we chose here.. Our view was amazing on the 8th floor and Marlin at Vallet greeted us with delight. He was our favorite!! We always looked for him and said hi in and out of the resort, always so happy and pleasant!!. The restaurant here in the morning is beautiful but food and service is lacking. But times are tough so I will not fault them for that right now. The beach in front of the hotel is so pristine and swimmable you will not want to go anywhere else.. Overall this is a great place to stay and I cannot wait to be here again one day soon!

Our family with two teenage girls spent 5 nights at the resort. We were on the 2nd floor of Cottage E. At first, I was unhappy we didn’t get the lower level with the lanai but but the 2nd floor turned out great for us. The view is amazing from this cottage. Unobstructed view of sunrises and sunsets and it’s so close to the beach. We walked out of our cottage, across the lawn, and the beach is right there. We had a little kitchen and a nice dining room table. We had stopped at Costco for water and snacks so the kitchen was perfect. We ordered food from the pool bar and had our own private place to eat dinner with a great view. The space was plenty large for the four of us. The AC worked great. We were also able to open the windows and hear the ocean. The room was clean and updated. Our only complaint is that the shower drain didn’t work very well and there needs to be hooks to hang up towels. We have two girls so there’s never enough hooks for bathroom bags! There is plenty of drawer and closet space. We didn’t hear much noise from the other cottages. The staff was always on top of our requests and friendly. Ice cream store also has coffee, they had laundry facilities, and the location is in walking distance to Whalers Village for shopping and to Black Rock Beach where we snorkeled and cliff jumped. Also close to Lahaina. The resort beach wasn’t crowded and the water was great for swimming. It was a very relaxing atmosphere and seriously, amazing sunsets. No jellyfish either. We also stayed at a resort in Wailea and the whole family agreed we liked the Royal Lahaina better.
