I definitely do not recommend the Strat. The pictures on line show nice rooms and amenities, however as of January 2023 the hotel has yet to be renovated anywhere near completely and the vast majority is still old. The phots of the gym that appeared to be completed also turned out to be future concept photos.
Starting at the top, it took 40 minutes to retrieve the room keys that only ended up working half the time. Upon going to the room it was apparent it was not cleaned as the bathtub had long black hair all over the walls. Speaking of the bathtub, it was black and yellow from ware, but at least it matched the at one time white shower curtain that had black mold growing on the bottom. Speaking of the bathroom, the shower (which never got water temperatures over freezing) screamed at you while running it - to the point in which you could hear the neighbors shower screaming through the walls. Which brings me to my next point, the walls are incredibly thin- you can hear EVERYTHING. The TV got only a few channels and if you did end up finding something to watch, after a bit it would automatically switch to a channel with a nonstop commercial for the Strat. The walls need paint and the drywall is bubbling in the bathroom. The entire hotel including your room smells like a combination of Pot, cigarette smoke and the cheap perfume they tried to cover it up with (the smell combination gave me a 24/7 headache). The restaurants inside the hotel are not good and way overpriced. Your bed will be as hard as a rock and you will most likely be awoken by the people outside your door as the doors are also incredibly thin. The rooms have no overhead light and only use lamps. One of the elevators sounds like it is going to fall at any moment. The staff don’t care about you- we asked for an extra towel and after 3 hours of waiting received a blanket. They turned off our water for over 12 hours (not sure why). The location is lackluster and in a sketchy neighborhood although a bus stop is nearby. There are no mini fridge or safes in the room.
All in all- Just don’t stay here.

Did the skypod at night. Great views. Lots of seating. Bar and food to sit and enjoy the view. Did not stay in the hotel, but the casino looked renovated since we were last here. Free parking which was nice. While gambling we did not see a server come by for about 30 minutes, would have rated higher if not for that. Saw banachek and did the La comedy club. Great night out at the strat.
Workman started drilling and loud tools at 7.30am and resort fees $362 for 4 days

Arrived from LAS with a $19 lyft.
Checked in early, did not get the updated room, but that was OK. 17th floor towards the mountain.
Room was clean and a smoke free floor, the first floor was a typical smoke hole.
About a 7 minute walk to monorail, we had bought discounted passes on line.
Decent food choices on 2nd floor of hotel, a McDonald's and IHOP also just outside.
Did a show at the la comedy club, it was great.
Did happy hour at the 107th floor at sunset, very nice. then walked up to the top at no cost.
Spent 2 hours at the adult only pool, was a very mixed crowd but pleasant, no pressure to buy drinks, but you must show ID to get on the floor.
Bottom line, would I stay there again, yes I would.
Worst experience ever - Get stoned for free - Unpolite front desk staff

We (2 adults with 3 children) booked two rooms and were put (more dumped) in the Essential Tower. Do never accept to to be put away in that part of the hotel (cannot judge for the rest of the hotel). When entering the rooms you could clearly smell weed, the airco was hanging off the wall making strange noises and the WIFI did not work. Customer service was unreachable by phone so we had to go to the front desk. When asking about the WIFI we were told this was only available when booking "Gold" which was a lie, as the day after another employee confirmed that the WIFI in that part of the hotel was broken. She mentioned that we would get a refund of 45 dollars per room for this missing service but (not surprisingly) we have not received this yet. Have to say the airco was fixed quickly, but the spraying of the rooms only took away the weed smell for half an hour. Front desk mentioned that we were in non-smoking rooms, but there were ash trays in the rooms!!! We could not get other rooms because the hotel was fully booked, something we felt hard to believe. We felt more like to did not bother. The attitude of the front desk was pretty intimidating, rude and inpolite. Rooms were very old and damp and for sure not at the required level. When shaving myself in the morning the flushed water (including the hair) was coming up in the sink in the room next door. This time it were our kids in the next-door-room (still bad) but imagine this happens to you when a stranger is next door. Seems like to hotel does not care about hospitality and customer service. Value for money was simply not present and this was by far the worst experience we ever had in a hotel. Once again: Stay away from the Essential tower.
