Came to Vegas for a soccer game, picked The D because we had never stayed here and it was close to where the game would be. Parking on site is easy to find and pretty straight forward, no tall vehicles though, so be aware of that ahead of time. Check in went pretty smooth, little bit of a line checking in, but not uncommon in Vegas. We were given a room on the 19th floor and on the West side of the hotel. Immediately upon entering the room we noticed it was hot and the A/C was like the Little Engine that could in trying to cool the room. We figured what the heck it is only for one night, we will tough it out and not spend much time in the room other than to sleep. Upon coming back to the room that night, we were asked to show our ID to enter the hotel, which was different, but I think I understand. In the room it was still hot and a little stuffy. I turned the A/C down a bit and set it to auto. The A/C kicked on with a vengeance, but was making a clunking sound. We also learned that there is regularly loud music blasting from Freemont St below from 6pm until like 2am, so something else to be aware of. Needless to say between the A/C units awful noise and the music 19 floors below us on the street, we did not sleep very well lol. It is Vegas after all! Lol Basic hotel if you are there to party, reasonably priced and if you want a little less noise maybe try getting a room on a floor higher than 19 and on the East side of the building not the West. Served its purpose, but I will probably try somewhere else next time.
The hotel is pretty basic and VERY adult oriented

The D hotel is a step down from a Fremont Street hotel/casino such as the Golden Nugget, but it gets the job done with a basic no frills room if you are an ADULT (not a tourist family) and just need a place to crash for the night. The casino itself used to be a bit more lively with dancers and overall energy but I still like to go there. I love the long bar, tall beers on draft and I generally have better luck playing the slot machines there than other nearby properties.
