For what we paid in comparison to other vegas hotels, this place is awful! When we arrived, our bed only had two thin pillows on it (had to call and ask for more), they don’t offer room service, not even body wash in the shower! The room constantly smells like smoke, the pool is dirty, there is one restaurant + one fast food place operating in the entire hotel. Do yourself a favor and find another option.

First stay in Las Vegas

Cosmopolitan779065 on Jul 03, 2022

If you are 19 or 20, on a budget, and looking to be out of the room partying all day & night, returning drunk to crash for a while, then this is the place for you. You won’t notice how filthy the room is; stains and crumbs all over the carpet, beds, & furniture, dated, chipped, damaged decor, dirty bathrooms, and a mattress that is hard yet collapses all the way to the hard bed frame. The smoke-filled lobby was so depressing with lonely people sitting at slot machines by themselves. The elevator was filled with marijuana smoke and the room smelled musty with faint traces of cigarette smoke (it was a non-smoking room). This is the kind of place you stay when you’re in college, you have no money, you’re coming with 10 friends, and don’t plan on being sober for the duration of your stay. Our mistake. Actually my mistake - I let my husband book the room - I asked for “something close to the airport” since we were landing at midnight. He did not realize it was a hotel on the strip, and trusted the Doubletree/Hilton brand name. Nope, never again.

The room is very old style, not a great view from my corner room. I asked for a nice view room even if downgrade to a smaller room. No coffee machine provided or kettle. I asked for a fridge and they wanted an extra charge for that. The food thing is the location at the beginning of the strip

Mother and Son reunion

jlynnmckinn (Cottonwood, Arizona) on Jun 27, 2022

Arrived at hotel and we had to take all our baggage to a room that was 3 football fields away without help from the front desk. The room overlooked the airport so the first couple nights were almost sleepless because of noise and lights. They locked us out of our room the afternoon before we were to leave to get an extra night paid. Our final bill was 582.00 for 4 nights that I was to originally pay 54.00 a night. The room was outdated and a dump. Nothing like the ad picture. Total charge w/holding fee 828.00 for a 54.00 room, 4 nights. That's Tropicana. Go anywhere else.

If the smell of smoke bothers you, this is not the hotel for you

MTCBells (North Charleston, South Carolina) on Jun 27, 2022

My wife and I stayed here because we are Hilton Honors Diamond members. Hilton's website says "Smoking Rooms Available" but it does NOT say that all public spaces (including indoor spaces) are smoking. You can smell it as you're walking up and it permeates the entire property. The rooms are themed appropriately (bamboo tropical feel), but everything felt dingy and dank. It took 2 days to get the smell of cigarettes and marijuana off of me.
